The Rabbit needs help! Colouring...

I know this might sound funny coming from someone who is fairly decent with photoshop (not to brag or anything), but I am wondering if there is a way to change the colour of a car fairly quickly...I know by manually selecting the body of the car using the polygonal lassoo tool you can select what you need to colour, and then go to Image-->Adjust-Hue/Saturation, and then colourize and then play around with the settings.

I was wondering if there is any way to change the cars colour without airbrushing (since I suck at that), and without painstackingly manually select the parts of the car by hand which you need to change colour. By just adjusting the hue/saturation of the whole image, then lights, rims, etc. become the new desired colour which doesn't work out well...

Any help received is greatly appreciated, thankx,

um well your always gonna have to select....but i know a couple more ways to color the car.

1.image>adjust>variations
2.levels
3.and the good old fashioned hue/sturation

aue all 3 to get best results

any suggestions for selection of the car body so lines aren't jagged and ugly?

use they polygon tool, thats what i use and pretty sure most of the others here use too, just click closer segments, not so far apart.
