i was wondering if it would be too hard to like bridge a connection from the 2 lights that illuminate my plate, and run them to like a switch inside the car so i can turn them off when i press the switch. i know the plate lights run from the trunk to the engine bay....i think. where would be the best place to bridge the connection? i have a 95 accord by the way; and if this doesnt make any sense, then just tell me to clarify.

its possible, just wire in a switch in between the wiring and the lights, it should work, no different then wiring any other switch in

do you know if the plate lights run inside the car, or do they run on the inside of the exterior panels?

um i am not positive, but there has to be someplace where the wires are exposed, find a wiring diagram for an accord or something to find the color wire it is if there is more then one wire there.

There should be a fuse for them under your dash panel. Just make a switch to bridge the connection there like this so you don't have to cut any wires:

The fuse may be for tail lights AND license plate lights. If so, you'll have to actually cut into the wires coming off the lights.

the fuse box under the dash was like the first place i checked for teh wires, but i didnt see the cluster of wires there, they run from the rear quarter panel, then down into the door like under the door sill and carpet. but i lose them around the hood release switch, do you think they go up inside to the steering column? thanks for the help.....and the diagram :eek7:

You're not looking for wires under the dash, you're looking for a fuse to put your own wires on. It was just a rough diagram, you can make the wires as long as you want and install the switch wherever you want.
If you're talking about the wires running from the lights into the fusebox, I have no idea where they are. If your fuse is for tail lights and plate lights, then yeah you'll have to find those and splice into them. I'm sure a google search will bring up some more helpful diagrams.
