i have a few questions for you guys. my nephew bought a 90 240 and it had a blown head gasket. well he found a 240 engine for like $100.00 and picked it up. last weekend he and i did the swap but i cant figure out where a few of the electrical plugs go :banghead:. is there any place that i can find the locations on the net or do any of you guys live in columbus and might want to help me out???
i know that i drive an eclipse but please dont hold that against me i am lookin for a 240 myself but gotta save the cash up to get one.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
it is the 2.4 engine, pretty much stock. i could give you more info if you need it but i dont know what else you might need.

Try www.240sx.org and look in the FAQ or Installs section. You should find the wiring diagram somewhere there...
Oh and some questions for you -- I also have a 90' 240sx.. did you get the hatchback or the coupe? When you replaced the engine, did you do the whole thing or just the head? Did you swap an SOHC motor in or a DOHC? :) G'luck!

its my nephews car, and he got the hatchback. we just swapped the eitire engine but i have the old engine and an automatic transmission minus the torque converter, someone stole it while we got some grubb from behind my garage.... go figure. and it was the sohc motor. do you need any parts? we might be able to deal!!!

you can't just swap the DOHC head on the SOHC block

Yeah... know that... but it might be possible they replaced the SOHC Head with another SOHC Head right? :greddy2: hehehe...

we didnt just swap the heads, we swapped the engine and it was a SOHC to SOHC swap.the only difference and the one that he bought had an auto tranny and his is a 5 speed.
i tried that 240sx.com site and didnt see to much in the lines or wiring diagrams..... but i did e-mail one of the guys that is building project 240 to see if he could help.
