Help On Sanding & Polishing Required

OK guys, can Tamiya Compound remove 2000 grit sandpaper scratchmarks on a painted car body? If not, what is the roughest grit that Tamiya Compound can remove? :confused:

I'm pretty sure that this is about right, but I've about it taking 1500 scratches out.
