hey all i'm a newbie to the forums and to tuning. that said i just got a 2004 2.5ts and am looking to start with the 'improvements.' as is normally my problem with large projects (as this could be) i have no idea where to start. so anyone with any ideas (especially those of you who live in the portland, or area and know what's up) feel free to let me know. i'd appreciate anything from a particular brand name that's reputable to a walk-through of an install. all aspects. i'm here to learn. i just need a teacher. . .

start off simple... exaust and cold air intake... work up slowly to a turbo... ya probably should of bought the wrx model since it came turbo ready and would of been easier to mod because of that...

Yes, but if he could've afforded the WRX, he probably would've gotten it.
I'd save the exhaust until you get a full turbo kit, so you get the most efficient exhaust.

Exhaust will make a big difference if it's thr right kind. Try to get something with a 2 1/4 piping, and go for a full exhaust instead of a catback. Its a lot cheaper to have custom made if you don't have to worry too much about emissions. Intake is a good one too. Intake and exhaust will give you a much harder pull in the top end of the RPM range, the stock 2.5 tends to die out up there. Next you should conisider headers and cams if you wanna stay N/A, or a turbo kit. And if you stay N/A, remember, nitrous is your best friend...
