Does anyone have experience with the Apexi N1 Exhaust system??
I am thinking about buying one myself....just wondering if anyone has anything to say about it.
SOUNDS, HP GAINS...etc

I've had my A'PEXi N1 exhaust for 3 years now. One of the best exhausts I've purchased (4 in the past). It is a bit loud but you do get used to it and it's one of the best sounding exhausts I've heard too.
It does hang a bit low and I've caught many things with it - speed bumps, large dips and inclined driveways. The other thing is that on the 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si for some reason the joint for the last section hits the gas tank which can be fixed by inserting an exhaust hanger between the joint and the gas tank like I did.

my friend funkdaflex has one on his 98 ex turbo and its nice, sound is not to loud but not to quiet and has a nice mellow tone to it. One of the best exhaust systems i have heard in a while. I would suggest getting it.

Try riding in one with a B16A it's noticeably different than a D16 engine. Especially when the 2nd cam on the B16A kicks in :)

There's a simple fix for that that I did with my A'PEXi WS exhaust system that did the same thing. I think it's a common issue actually with A'PEXi systems. Anyways a friend sent me the link to how to cure it from ClubSi.com and it was intended for lowering the muffler itself to clear a CTR type lip, but I figured it would work for the gas tank issue, so I just did it to the hanger that next to the flange connecting the rear section to the midpipe. Basically what you do is take off the rubber isolator piece that connects to the hangers, get a "1/2 or "3/4 diameter piece of PVC pipe connector and wedge it into the hole in the middle of the rubber piece. Then secure each side of it with a ziptie so it won't slide out accidentally, and what it'll do is lengthen the rubber piece by a half inch or so pulling the flange away from the gas tank. :) Worked perfectly for me.

Try owning a hatchback's version of the n1... it routes under the rear control arm, leaving it's signature on every speed bump in town, and my car's not even lowered. I had to get longer rubber hangars for it to hang lower and clear my ctr lip. It sounds great, but I really do need a new exhaust for real-world driving.

Wow, just like with my WS system, your resonator seems to hang rather low as well under the middle of the car. Does it ever scrape on bumps? Mine used to before I got my ES100 tires. :sly:

People say that the APexi N1 exhaust system is ANGLE mounted....but it doesn't seem to be on the SI....why??
I have a 2000 Civic Ex Coupe....would it be straight (hope so)??
Do we get a choice (angle or not) when ordering???

P.s.....the N1 in the picture seems to be sittin very low...is it because it goes under the control arm???

Uh yeah.. my car was lowered when I installed my exhaust and it would nail every little pebble on the road. I had to raise her back up and it still destroys speedbumps.
