99 Denali signal lights

One of the bulbs on the drivers front turn signal corroded to the bulb housing socket as a result of water seepage into the assembly. I removed it and tried to sand the terminals and sides of the socket as best i could. I have changed all bulbs front and rear and still get the fast blink when i signal on that side. The hazards flash fine and all bulbs work in this mode. Brake lights work fine too. Anyone ever have this problem or know what to look for next? Should i just replace the bulb housing? Thanks.

I have a 2000 denali and the same thing has just happened to me on the left side. I am stumped as to how to fix it. If you know of anything, please let me know. thanks.

Hi,
here is a stab in the dark.
You may have a weak connection in that front bulb.
It may not draw enough current so you get the fast flash.
The hazard flasher does not care about that.
I would replace the housing assembly. It will leak again.
Cut off the socket and get a replacement from an auto parts store.
Radio Shack has a white strip of about 10 insulated connectors for a few bucks. You just insert the cable and turn a screw to clamp it.
