Help D16z6

hey whats up. i took my friend to a local junk yard and they have an total civic 4 door with a d16z6 in it..I seen the v-tec solnoid, but he wants to make sure its v-tec..Motor and Tranny for 575 , we go pick it up at 6 oclock..So is it??...I think so in my heart because i have the solinoid on my head too, but mines is a d16y8..Help..thanks

Yes the z6 has 125 hp opposed to your 127 y8 motor but it is still VTEC it came in the 92 -95 civic si & ex i think thats the years and models.

Its a fair price, make sure you get the ecu with it. What's it going in?

hate to say it but.. a 92 civic cx hatch..OK im going to get the ecu

Cx's are the best 5th gen to own if you do a swap because they are so light. Thats what i would get if i got a 5th gen.
