Yes, it looks like your dad's Accord; and no, it's not an Accord :finger:

I know that numbskull! Lots of Hondas and Acuras share parts, and i wouldnt be surprised if some one the parts came from the US Accord. I think this car looks nice than our current gen civic. Much bigger. Does the smaller engine get it around ok?

It shares 70% of its parts with the 6th Gen Civic, not the Accord. It's the same platform, size, & dimensions as the Civic, powered by EX's D16Y8.

To be truthful, I had no idea the EL existed until now. I usually stay on top of international models. Or at least try to. Is it only sold in Europe or is there a right hand drive model for Japan?

Never mind. I answered my own question. In Japan, it is the Civic. Acura doesn't exist.:smoker2:
BTW Could someone explain to me why my post count and user name didnt transfer to this new setup "AF". Now I have to start from scratch.
Damn. A guy goes to school for 4 months, comes back and the whole damn thing is changed!:(

The EL is only available in Canada, in Japan it's the Honda Domani, reverse imported from Canada, it is not sold anywhere else on this planet except Japan and Canada, and they're all made in Canada.

why did u guys make the pre 99 and after 99's two gen? they are the same car, just different grill
the 3.2 TL, is the same one, this year and the one two years ago, except the face lift, it is still the same generation.
same goes the 01 and 00 accords.
btw, have u guys seen any pre 97 Honda Domani's? they are really ugly

Actually, current gen ELs look similar to the '02 Civics. The previous gen is 97 - 01.
And, yes... the pre-97 Domanis do look like *ss. :D

My mom has a 2001 1.7EL and it is fun to drive and has tons of power from that engine. Great pickup and excelent braking and handling, the brake rotars are huge on the 4-Wheel discs.
For the guy askin about the power.... it has 130hp + about 130lb torque. Which means it is really quick for a car like that, I find it especially fun for raping Cavaliers on the streets of Calgary... WooOOo!
