R32 GTR Convertable

Hey guys, working on my new project, an R32 Gtr convertable, my mate wants to do one in real life so i thought i would give it a try on a smaller scale. Plus its something different too...

SO far have sprayed the body in French Blue, but have yet to give it a few coats of clear.

And have assembled the Engine too.....

Not sure about the colour tho.

The color wasnt what i imagined it to be, and im not that happy with the colour either but oh well, im stuck with it now..

I think stay with that color and make it like a show car or something :iceslolan

Thats looks great. On a model, thats fine, its a great idea, but in real life, please don't do it. Skylines are so nice, and IMO that would totally ruin it.

I like the color a lot. Lightens the look of the car and suits the more boulevard image presented by a convertible.

Plus I've got this weird fascination with Bugattis and Talbot-Lagos, so I'm partial.

I also dont like the colour but it should be a wicked project though!

what kit is that? does the motor come with that kit or from another kit?

That is teh R32 Gtr kit by Tamiya but i chopped the roof...

And the Motor comes with it too...

oooh-aahh. I like it from the front. That last picture looks great! The color, to me, says, "oh my gosh my eye! You've blinded me!" Other that, great job! :smokin:

nice work moey! hey, will you add a rear wing? some tuner decals on the door would look nice :icon16:

You really should've added a styrene "lip" around the interior bucket to compensate for the gap between the door panels and the body. Also, the lack of a narrowed rear seat, interior doglegs, or a convertible "boot" really makes it apparent that this is just an R32 GTR with its roof cut off.

The paint work and the assembly is very good, but the main modification comes off as half-baked. Sorry, but there needed to be more interior work done here.

Your exactly right, this project ended up being half baked, i made the mistake of spraying the car first b4 making sure to see if there was any gaps that would come about. In my haste i neglected to take the right steps first.

As for interior its what my mate wanted it to look like, i built the kit for him, i understand fully what yur saying dude, and dont worry already started work on another Gtr Convertable but this time all being done correctly, more modifications and a better colour this time...


Joe- I might just add some decals to it, see how it comes out...
