Got MURDERED by a 3000gt...

ok, so its been a while since i actually posted anything "usefull" (according to some mod who knows nothing) :biggrin: ...

sooooo...thought i'd add a story.

well, me an a few friens were cruising back up from dick's drive-in on I5 an i see a 3000gt come onto the freeway. it was black an was lowered w/ after-market exhaust an thats it from the outside (looked SOOOOOO clean).

well he sees me an jumps over a couple of lanes to get next to me.

we come up to a clearing an a straight (worked out nicely), an i look over an he nods. he punches it an i drop to third from about a 75 MPH roll. wellllll...that was the end of the race. all i hear is turbo then PSSSSHHHH....(it was awesome btw) he put about 1 1/2 cars on me in jus over a second i'd say, an slowly pulled from then on.

we took it up to around 110 an he had about 3 1/2 cars on me (he probably let off a bit). so we both slow an i roll up next to him an me an the girl in the front seat both give him a thumbs up an he smiles back an gives a nod.

so i cruise off an he gets off a couple of exits later w/ a thumbs up hangin out his window. was a good race w/ a guy who wasn't a shit-head....

there u go, i am now usefull again...

come on you only lost by 3 1/2 cars. thats not murdered. when i raced my friends prelude v-tec and by the time hit 60 i was over 4 cars ahead. if i kept on goin that would've been 10 cars. see now that is a murder. not 3 cars. so you actually did pretty well.

Well, it sounds like you raced your buddy from a stop. With your RWD, that's to be expected.

nah i wouldn't do that to brag. if i wanted to brag i would've posted it. lolz anyways it wasn't really from a dig. we just took off from first gear hard. as it turns out his prelude wanted to go too so i guess we went at the same time. so its more like its from a roll.

Nice mods..! Would like to see some track times. Just curious what the vr4's run modded. Are dodge stealth's and vr4's the same engine wise( yes the TT ones). At the local dsm meeting saw a TT stealth with stock turbos. Said stock turbos were t13's or something like that.

LOL I totally agree. Who woulda thunk, KrNxRaCer00 randomly posts a racing story on AF, his opponent's g/f model_girl reads it and is reminded of a story her b/f told her, and KrNxRaCeR00's opponent, youngvr4, is already a member of the site, and the race is verified on AF, and I'm trippin out, man!! i'm not sure exactly what my time is, but i've killed my dads c5 vette before
i'm thinkin 13.9 stock and killing my dad by as much as i did probably about low13s or high12's.
and yeah i've actually came acros 2 other integra's that are fast as hell
well one hit nos on me twice, and the other one was just fast. but i raced these guys before i had any mods. but i don't know them personally
yeah the story was very accurate. exept you left out the part when we first got on the freeway and you shot past me like a rocket.
yeah if you didn't have all those people in the car it woulda been a little closer than it was, though i did let of a little, once i'm up ahead i slow down, i don't see the point in going faster than i need to, you feel me.
oh by the way, your car seem hella fast for those mods, it almost moved as if you had a turbo, you've got respect coming from me :smile:

was the integra with nitrous white as well and have a bunch of stickers on his car? because if so, im pretty sure who the kid is.

i figured u'd slowed a bit (which was smart/safer), because u had stopped pulling, so i shut it down too.

1st, to keep from others flaming u, call it nitrous, because NOS is a brand (jus tryin to save u time of dealing w/ that is all, not tryin to be a dick-head).

if i keep the teg, i'd definately stay N/A. it'd be a complete rebuild, and i'd shoot for 12's, but turbo jus isn't my style.

14.8-15.0 is around the time that a stock gs-t/gsx will run, but i've yet to run into any on the streets.

i used to go watch the races in auburn, but it was when i had my dirt-slow accord, and now i jus can't afford the ticket (air force), so the risk isn't worth it.

sometimes i'll go run w/ a few buddy's when they get a new mod, but thats about it.

lemme know and i'd be more than happy to go run u and try to bring a few other cars that are pretty quick as well.

btw...awd turbo launches are amazing...
