Need opinions on custom exhaust

Need some opinions... I'm planning on getting a custom exhaust installed on my 2002 TA sometime next spring. I think I've pretty much made up my mind and wanna go with the Flowmaster American Thunder series. Does anyone out there already have this? Happy with it? Should I consider Borla or Magnaflow over Flowmaster?

why are you going to shell out all that cash for a system when you can just buy the mufflers that they use and get an exhaust shop to use their pipes which are just as good

A friend of a friend of a... well you get the point... anyways I heard of this guy putting a loudmouth on his Firebird and was happy with the results. Those are made specifically for Firebirds/Camaros, right? Which do you think is better between the Loudmouth and the American Thunder? (I want both sound and Performance gains - e.g. MORE HP!!)

I have no qualms with my LM, and I've had it on there almost two years. IMO, I still haven't heard another exhaust on an LS1 that I have said, "man, I wish I'd have gone with that one instead of the LM..." :naughty:

i'm gonna have my exhaust coming out the back, and the sides. i'll have a valve to cut the flow from either the back, or to the sides.

the back exhaust will be nice and quiet. so when someone roles up on me, they'll think i have nothing. then i'll close off the valves to the back, open the side, and the sound will be thunderous!! and i'll blow my exhaust right in the guy's window, and take off!!! :flipa:

so you have exhaust cut outs put in?

im putting cutouts in my exhaust exept mine will be 3 wing nuts that hold each on but i could spend the extra cash and get lever operated ones which im guessing you have
