Help!!! Fiero Problems!!!

I have a 1985 Pontiac Fiero 2m4 and the Engine Light came on a few weeks ago. The idle goes up & down & doesn't run smooth when idleing!!
Today i drove it up town & it started idleing faster than it normaly does and when i would shift from first to second the oil pressure gauge would shoot past 80!!! It didn't do it the whole time though!! Any ideas what could be wrong with it????

If the check engine light came on find out what code it set. That will point you in the right direction.
