Since there has been a couple of headlight questions, i remembered one important one ive been wondering for awhile. Is there a headlight convetsion kit to convert the flip up headlights of a 91-93 to the other style of the 94+? thanks.

you have 2 options, buy everything needed and have a shop do a little welding of the correct parts, or buy close to everything and so some drilling and custom moddification.
1st case you hood, front bumper, lights($1200 for a set), headlight buckets, and some small misc stuff.
2nd case you just buy hood, bumper, and lights, and you cut your headlight buckets, and reuse/mod your exisisting hardware.

I have done the '99 front end conversation on my '93 VR4. What you need is pretty cleary listed in the 3sx site, together w/ a good FAQ.

If you go for '99, you will need to invest, as it is very rare you can get used '99 headlights for ~700$/pair. Most likely you will need to buy new ones - the cheapest offer I found was at http://www.mitsupartsdirect.com (~900$pair/new). You will also need to swap corner signals (~100$pair) and fog lights (~200$pair/used). Then you also need any 94+ hood (~200$ used) and '99 bumper (~200$), w/ inserts by foglights (~60$). So, it is kindda expensive game :naughty:

mail me if interested in '99 conversation, I have the complete part No list needed.

Much easier option is to convert to 94-98. You can get complete set of headlights/corner lights for ~600$ on ebay or 3si forum. You will still need 94+ hood and 94+ bumper, but they are comparably easy to find.

thx,
Kaspars
