ETS light on

I have a 1998 ML 320 - I love the car but not the associated annoying problems I have been plagued with. The latest is that the ETS light has come on for no apparent reason. The car goes with no problems. I wanted to get an idea of what may be wrong be fore I go down the o so familiar road to my dealer? Any information will be gladly accepted.

If you've had new tyres fitted recently can be to do with that. Take it to the dealer and ask them to plug it into the Star machine.

You probably need a high low range motor I've seen several of these.

I know this is an old thread but I just fixed an ML a couple days ago with the ETS light on. All it was is the stop-lamp switch. A quick and easy fix.
