Plug Wires vs. Headers

I have the Intake on the car, and I have had a few conversations with my friends... one says I should go headers next... one says I should get the plug wires and strut bar... I am leaning towards the stru/plug wire combo, but I need imput. Thanks.

strut bar will help with the handling but you will only really notice it if your car is lowered and has bigger wheels and tires on it. the plug wires are a waste of money unless you have really old plug wires now, because it will do nothing for performance especially on a stock engine like yours, go with the header with a high flow cat that would be a much better combination. what year and model is your accord

None of those will do much of anything besides looks. Header(not headers unless V6) will not really do much unless combined with intake & cat-back exhaust/high-flow cat. - still you will only get about 20HP which aint much for the money spent on quality parts. Plug wires alone on a stock engine(if it has I/H/E, its still stock if you ask me) will do absolutly nothing for performance. Maybe if you had a purpose built race engine you might feel a difference. Honda ignition systems are very well built, also Honda's exhaust manifolds flow very well for stock, but there is ALWAYS room for MORE POWER.
Strut bars, even quality like Neuspeed, hardly do a thing. Other cheapie bars wont do anything since they flex/move. If you do get strut bars get both uppers - front/rear. A better bar would be a rear sway bar upgrade, but without the right shocks/springs it wont function fully either.

I was able to read an article where someone tested OEM plug wires and aftermarket plug wires, on a dyno, for a modified Integra. Performance was the same.
Sport Compact Car did a comparison test for aftermarket headers for Honda Civics. They do add a small amount of HP but it almost is an unjustified modification due to the cost of headers. There was a difference amongst the different models in that the 1-piece headers were always better than the 2-piece headers and some 2-piece headers gave the same dyno-performance as the stock exhaust manifold... that was an interesting find. However, 1-piece headers are difficult to install.

I am driving a 95 EX Standard. This is really good to know all this... what would be my next step over all of these... cat back?

Next step over what?
Cat-back exhaust, header, & intake are only likely to give you 20HP combined.
Yea, you gotta have that 5-point harness  & leave the regular seat belts in :screwy:
