Heres a quick excuse when building a 4x4 or lifted truck and you get orange peel. We all know of line-x, well they do paints as well, same material that goes in the bed, goes on the body.

That would work, but when I get orange peel, it makes me mad, so I always strip it and redo the paint.

Might be able to. Just wet sand it very lightly, then try compound then polish. Try it and tell us how it goes.

If you can't control orange peel yet then maybe you should od what hirofkd.
He sprays in light coats a bout eight he said. Then like sands with 2000.
Then from like 5000, 6000, and so on to like 12000.
Then he compounds, then I think uses like zymol or some other automotive wax. :uhoh: I'm not totally sure. Check out his site for complete details.

Put me behind a can of dupli-color, testors, tamiya, or any other spray, and I can do it like an air-brush. But it's a boyd's paint.

well, Eugene heres whats done so far: Sanded body in circles with 12000, yes 12000 grit paper (polishin stuff) although you still can see the texture in the paint its smooth to the touch, so what if it has some texture, textures good. I added the necessary decals, 454SS to the bed, Chevrolet to the tailgate, painted the headlamps chrome, left the side markers blacked out cuz orange didnt blend. Tomorrow, after coffee, 4coats of clear al over the body. one week from now it'll be polished 3 times with turtle wax, and in the completed forums (if everything goes well)
