Calling Out all the People in the backround.

I just have to admit, i love these forums a lot, and would like to recognize the fact that

- yet i dont POST every day, night ect. ect. i AM on every night for 2-3 hours, just searching, pondering, and eyeing my way through the forums
- i go through the 88-91 civic, 92-95 civic, off-topic, and integra forums.....
- if u look at when i have been here since... u would understand i have many many hours into this site.....

now the whole reason im making this post.. is just that... well to be completely honust, i dont feel like posting now because it almost seems like i would be a 'newbie' and my opinion wouldnt matter...

i dont know if i am the only one who feels this way on the forums, so im just calling everyone out who is like me, just the lion in the backround, only jumping on things that are worth it.

P.S. - i put this in the 4th gen forums due to the fact that there are so many 'admin' type in here, and/or people who have thosands of posts... the people who "matter" to these forums...

No, not really... I actually know where you're coming from. I feel about the same way, cause I'm stupid, and my opinion really doesn't matter. Well.. then again that's not exactly accurate yet either.
I don't feel like posting too much until I can prove to myself that I can actually do something with my car, and get it put back together and running real nice and looking real nice.
And despite being into custom cars for years now, I still don't have anywhere near the knowlage as a lot of the other peeps in here.. I cite 91civicDXdude who seems to be a deep well of engine knowlage, LadyNRedSi who has an unending flow of 4th gen knowlage (even in just her drive way)... and many others in here I cannot yet match up to.

But hey... at least we're trying, right? :loser:

even tho i have a large dosing of posts on this board, i didnt just whore it up, id say about 80% of my posts contain some knowledgeable information, and the others are just opinions or otherwise. anyway, just cuz you dont have a lot of posts doesnt mean yours dont matter, ive seen peeps come in here with there first post that have some great info to them.

its not nescarry to post in every thread, but peeps on this board do give higher regard to peeps with more posts, but they are worthless, its the knowledge that counts.

shoot, anybody who has been around knows who you are ;) you might not post that frequently but when you do post it counts

when i first came here i was too shy to post haha to shy over the internet what the hell is that no i just didnt want to sound stupid plus this forum is a lot different than any other everyone is 10 times more friendly and helpful go over to honda-tech and try to get some help fat chance unless others have an interest in that topic

I hafta say that I try to post in any thread that I know anything about, for one, to share what knowledge I do have, and for another, to see if there's someone who knows better than me to correct me. Besides, what could be more fun that talking cars with people who share your passion/obsession? It's really not about the number of posts, its about making the forums a valid knowledge base. I couldn't tell you how many times I've used the search engine(and DAMN the times that it has been out of service!) to find answers to my questions... I go in spurts, and honestly couldn't tell you how many posts I have. Anyone who gets caught up in saying "I have more posts than you" is the same as the stupid kid at recess whose dad could supposedly beat up your dad, IMO!

I dont post a whole lot, only because of the reason that has been stated before: I dont think a lot of you think my opinion matters that much. I started off feeling like this place was like a second family to me, and it still is, however, I'm still learning too, so for me to offer up a bunch of information, is kinda hard, since I dont have a whole lot yet. I will say tho that you guys have helped me in huge binds of mine, and I appreciate it immensely, and as I learn stuff, I'll try to add my :2cents: more and help out with other people so that these forums can be like they were to me....

Yea i kno what u mean. I just got a 89 CRX (automatic.. =\ ) and i dun kno shit about the car, so i just spend some time reading what some of these poeple have to say.

I learn things from newbies too. I mean, I get called a newbie in the off topic forum too. :screwy:

i had considered having my ph stats added as some others have. but i figured, why bother? this isn't ph nor does it exist anymore.

as long as everyone gives knowledgeable info, then it dont matter if you have 1 post or 10,000, as long as we respect each others opinions, and what each other has to say, then we can keep this place a great place for info, news, etc.
