Dizzy for my Z6

Hey all you Z6 people, I have a little problem. I have no dizzy for my Z6 that I am about to drop in my crx. I found an si dizzy off an 89, but it doesn't even come close to lining up with the bolt holes on this 94 block. :banghead: :banghead: At the junkyard where I got this dizzy, they also had one in a 93 DX. Would I be able to rewire/repin that one to make it work on OBD0? I am seriously hurting here, so any input would be extremely helpful!

you've got to ghetto rig the si to work.. I'll try to find some swap pages taht detail it.. its pretty ghetto...but works.. there is no way to convert the obd1 dizzy..

you pretty much have to use only two bolts...and one of them gets a big ass washer to reach the actual dizzy..

that looks like your timing is way off man. With my Z6 swap, what i had to do was notch the top and front legs of the dizzy, so instead of them having holes, they looked like hooks. Both of my bolts fit fine with no washer, but the back was about 1 1/2" off. Heres a little diagram i came up with.

OK, I get it. What did you use to cut the dizzy? I don't have any serious metal working tools... Thanks!

"Good prices from your local auto yards should start around $500 for at least the block and head. Try to get the VTEC solenoid (around $40 from H.A.P.) and distributor, too. The 92-93 and 94-95 distributors are different, so make sure you get the right one for the head. The 4G distributor can be modified to fit, by drilling the holes bigger. With this mod you lose the ability to adjust the timing by turning the distributor, resulting in a fixed stock timing setting. " Evidently someone has found a way to use the 5th gen dizzy. Any ideas?
