Pikes Peak White 350Z Track Progress

Finally i recieved my 350 from tiny cuz it was on special order, i also got some Volk Racing TE37 MAG 18' rims on it. Im totally finished with the chassis, right now i just got to clean some stuff up and put some pipes to the exhaust. It also has a front mount intercoolers on it with some dual hks hi power style exhausts. Tell me whut you guys think. Sorry for the small pics, AF wont let me upload over 60KB, its being gay, i dont know why everyone can but i cant. Cuz everyones pics are really big.

Looks OK so far.
The file size has nothing to do with the size in pixels, it's to do with the jpeg file compression you use.

Thanx for the reply's its going to be painted Pikes Peak White, as some of u dont know yet. I still dont know if i should put those exhausts on, they look kinda of wierd on that car cuz it seems to close to eachother. Whut do u guys think?

And Hiroboy im using Irfan View too and sizing to 512 x 384 how can i make the KB go down? Can u help me? Thanx

Anyone else? The only thing i dont like on this Z is that the exhaust pipe is molded into the chassis. So i dont know how to pipe the exhaust. Can anyone help?

Looks good. Pikes Peak White what Nissan calls the white color they use on the 350Z. Shorty, are you going to actually use the Nissan color to paint the car, or a TS equivalent?

Can't you just cut the exhaust off the chassis and replace it with some styrene rods?

for the xhaust shorty.. I took my dremel and just gridned the stock muffler down till it was flat.. theni took a little putty or styrene, an put a flat piece down... and vuala.... its normal.. then ujust glue ur mufflers to the styrene/putty.. and ur done..

ps. looks cool so far..

And here I thought Pikes Peak meant it was going to have a 1000hp engine thrown in it, tall suspension, crazy bodywork and enormous wings.

I got all excited, thinking this would be 350Z for running up the mountain.... I'm surprised no one has ever done that to a model. Those cars are nuts, and between all the mods and the loud liveries, they'd be fun as hell to build up.

Thanx malsheem for verify it for them, i am not going to use the Nissan paint, but im going to use some TS alternatives, it should be almost the same. Pure White with some Pearl White over.

then either take an exacto that is heaten up and just cut through it...


or you could... sand it...

So far the car is painted. Its got a pretty crazy shine on it. Its still drying and after its going to be sprayed with clear coat. Ill have pics in a couple of hours or so....

And to the people that have asked whut color i am painting the rims, i am painting them gold.

Does anyone know how i can get my KB in my pictures to go down? I tryed to upload my regular size (512 x 384) but now it wont let me, cuz it says no images over 60KB, does anyone know how i can lower the KB? I am using Irfan View 3.85 Thanx:feedback:

I am soooo pissed right now, i sprayed a perfect paintjob and waxed it like heck and came out really nice, then i was working with some liquid cement and it splashed onto the car!!!!!!:nono: So i was very pissed and tried to fix it but no luck.... So i had to sand it down a repaint it

Soooo i did, the next paint job came out even better!:iceslolan But..... i was 5 sec to be complete but then i hit the box and it tipped over the car onto all the primer, spraypaint dust and all of it went on to the rook and part of the hood!!!!:disappoin So now i have to sand again and repaint the roof and hood, today wasnt my day.....:banghead:

Finally here some progress. I airbrushed the interior today, and it came out pretty nice. The interior is Flat Aluminum with Flat Dark Grey accents. tell me whut you guys think.

I would have to agree with you, instead of pikes peak 350Z...should be White 350Z.

NICE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!! The tailpipes look fine and Pikes Peak white would be a perfect color. It will give it a nice clean look. :biggrin:

Yeah, the airbrush has been great. Came in very great use!

Nevermind i found out why it doesnt show up, i have to keep the pic in the folder, cuz after i uploaded them, i deleted them, so the file couldnt find it. But now i know.

you could rename the .jpg's to .txt's, then you can direct link to them... i believe... my buddies do that all the time... btw, extremely clean interior :)

Here is some more progress on the body, i decided to make a simple front lip for it to make it look a little more agressive. This simple lip, already makes my car look more agressive. Tell me whut you guys think.

Yeah, ur screen is really big that is why, also plus i had to resize the pic like twice to get the right size so i can upload it.

The lip is now sanded and is going to be puttied some more... Some more progress pics will come later.

Your 350Z is turning out!

To answer your question, if you have the choice to: File > Save for web. Fool around with the quality of the picture if options are available.

Heres some new progress pics... Shaped the front lip out, and its coming out vert nicely. Just need to putty up and sand some more. I dont know why but my second pics lighting came out green. tell me whut you guys think of the lip. It may be painted black.

Thanx, no there not thr Pegasus sleeves, that is a lip from a diff pare of rims i have. Im going to diffinantly Resin Copy, these lips so i can put it on my other rims.:iceslolan

Ooooo so they're not really 23s, huh, well i wasn't saying they wouldn't loook bad on some cars! I was just saying i'm glad he didn't use them on the Z, cuz i would only put up to 18s or 19s on a Z (IMO). Im probably gonna have a go at the sleeves myself. but i'm sure once i see one on 20s or bigger i'll change my mind:iceslolan. But we'll have to see!

Heres another update, painted the rims gold and put on the lips... Its looking really clean, i also cleaned up the lip and going to primer the whole car and paint it tomorrow. Progress pics will follow when im finished with the paint job. Tell me whut you guys think.

Looks great, but don't forget the little touches on the wheels that make it more realistic like:

- picking out the bolts with silver
- applying a black wash to the center of the rim and hub
- put on manufacturers decals
- how about a valve stem?? easy to make, sets your model apart!

Well im thinking of making some black bolts, and im going to put the Volk Racing and Rays Engineering decals on later.

I got the lip from my other rims, but im going to "resin" copy them so i can use them on my other rims.

Looks great in white man! Kind of looks like mine except I got diff wheels and kit but same color. Btw I think the blitz wheels look better also

How about TE37's /out lip in front and with lip in back? Looks real good in white.

Thanx for the feedback guys, i like the BRW's too but i think TE37's look better for it IMO.

NOTE: If the pics look very choppy or wierd, it was cuz i went through imagestation to upload them cuz i wanted more space in my uploading account on AF. Ill try to get better super clear pics when im finished with the model.
