Latinos and import tuning (sorry about the double post)

I know this is a bit random, but I have to do a project for Spanish class that focuses on some aspect of latino culture in the United States. Since I'm a car nut, I figured it'd be cool if I could tie my project in with import tuning somehow. Does anyone know where I could find information concerining latino's involvement with import tuning in the US? My only source right now is Hector from The Fast and the Furious, and I don't think that's a very credible source. I know this is a boring thread, but any help would be greatly appreciated. (Sorry that I posted in two forums. "Off-topic" relates more to this subject than "Non-specific.")

Erick Aguilar owns the fastest all-motor civic in the world. Maybe you could write about him, if your report is still due. I've been to Ericks shop alot becasue he use to build my dad's SCCA spec engines, he's a pretty cool guy.

Cool, that sounds awesome. I've actually already done my first report, but I have another one coming up soon. Do you know where I could find some biographical info about this guy? Thanks for the help.

You could call him and tell him that you're doing a report about Latino culture in the U.S.A and he'll be glad to tell you anything about himself. You could also try his site, I dunno the name but the shops name is 'Ericks racing engines' so try a google search or something. They have a brief history about him on his site, and his phone number should be there too. Good luck on the report.

There's also Abel Ibarra who pilots one of the quickest rotaries in the world.

Ok, thanks. I'll do searches on both of them and see what I can find.
