my new 240

hey guys cant believe i forgot to tell you...i finally got my 2400 . its a 92 black hatchback. motor has 130k on it and body is mint...great thing is that i got it for 2k woohooo. drawback: FLIP UP LIGHTS lol...everytime that i look at em i get angry. gonna do a s15 front end soon as i can find it cheap...so far ive only seen lights ($800!!) or the whole front end for like 3k...screw that. lookin for the fenders and lights, ill get an aftermarket front bumper soon as the conversion comes along so im not worried about that, ill get carbon fiber hood with the conversion also...that hoods on the drifter x and xl twins are amazing. after that comes the rest of the body kit and then the engine (weird priorities i guess) :screwy: but owell what can yah do...leave me some words on s15 conversions if you know someone selling or somewhere i can get for a decent price thanks much

so how exactly is getting rid of flip up lights being on the bandwagon...those god damned lights are like mullets, GAAAY!!! i do body kit b4 engine b/c i can afford it within the next six months and i dont have the 4k to spend on the engine right now...forgive me for being 16 and poor. i work 50 hour weeks doin construction during summer and can do nothing else short of quiting school to make money, but i give up my childhood for my car b/c thats my passion... so fuuuuckk ooff! :nono:

flip up lights are a matter of opinion anyways, i think they re fine on the hatchback 240, but not the coupe.

Dude, you need to chill with the f-bomb or no one will respect you here. by the way an s15 front on an s13 hatch is hot, so go ahead and do it. the truth is you can do whatever you want. cover it yellow stickers and chrome 3 spoke 15s, i don't give a shit. personally i would do an s15 on a hatch too, but i have coupe so i'm stickin with an s13 front. i guess its all a matter of priorities, but i would save for a motor first. only reason i'm not is cuz the extra $600 or so to put the s13 front on my car is a bump in the road compared to my Ca18det plans. i think apologies are in order on your part for not havin a sence of humor. that band wagon pic was funny as hell!

I gotta say, i'm not a fan of flip ups too. if you wanna bring the vette into this, i like the lights on the C5R. and for a 240, i'm abflug all the way (if you can find them and have a grand to drop)

i like flip up lights all the way up to the point where they flip up...cant stand how they stand out (like an albino at the apollo) against the sleek design of the car. albeit the half flip up look isnt too irritating...send a link on how to do that..guessing its cheaper than the conversion. maybe that will pacify me till i can get the s15

Only way to get the S15 conversion is through an importer... jspec.com has some pretty good prices, and from what I've heard, people have had good experiences with them.

ok first off I'm 16 and poor as well, but I'm not dumb enough to do a bodykit first, so what if its cheaper, say you spend $1,500 on a bodykit or whatever body mods, if you didn't do that you'd be $1,500 closer to your engine swap, or you could just turbo the KA and have half(or more) of what it would cost, then noone would say your gay cuz you got a show car that doesn't have an engine to back it up... oh and pop-ups are in my means gay, they acctually seem to be on a lot of the new style sports cars, corvette, FD rx-7, lotus... so shut up untill you can back up your mouth please

ok yes girls care how THEY look, as in themselves, but most girls aren't too worried about how a guy looks as long as hes not like missing some teeth and isn't like 400 pounds, honestly girls acctually look for something in a guy where as most guys go for looks(making the rest of us look bad) and sure a girl can say thats a nice car, but girls like "macho" guys, as in the bad mother that wins the race and can smoke everyone on the street, and if your slow, your in no way macho... sorry to ruin your perfect "wet" dream

like I said one of my favorite looking 240's I've seen was a lowered s13coupe that was black with gunmetal K1's...... I would love to have a car like that, even in spray paint black like the SCC 240sx lol. Im not a big fan of expensive paint and gauddy shit no matter what kinda car it is or what is done to it. A s15 front end looks cool on a 180sx, but its just not practical for myself.

okay, just one question. WHY DID YOU BUY A 240SX?! I mean do you have any knowledge of the car? You come in here saying that flip up lights are ugly which is one of the dumbest remarks I've ever heard. What the hell is the point of getting a fastback when you don't like the flip-up lights? And sounds like all you want to do is just do body modifications, and like Jspec said I say you should jump off the bandwagon and go get a civic.

get a civic if you just want looks, or even slight performance(what you are talking of)...... shit is WAY cheaper and MUCH more styles..... If I just wanted looks I would get a Civic, nothing wrong with the car. If and when I get a 240sx, the first thing to go is the interior completely behind the front seats, then maybe the passenger seat lol. door panels, center console, a/c system completely..new smaller belt, and every other thing I don't need to go fast or keep the car together lol.

-SR swap is a waste, Turbo KA = More Powerful for cheaper, parts can be found in the U.S. Who says you can drift with a turbo ka? As long as i get pulled back in my seat, can do some mad donuts/burn outs while being in a car that can be deamed reliable, im happy.

4k huh............wow, and my turbo kit is at about $1500 w/shipping (i calculated it to about $1300 so i jsut rounded up to cover shipping!!) so yeah, can u tell me how its gunna take 4k for a motor mods?? that $1500 fets me everything i need to run 10psi at least! out of a T3 turbo! w/ a FMIC and boost controler, S-AFC, injectors, fuel pump, turbo timer and all the piping and gauges!!!

maybe us should use ur head and not jsut buy the GReddy kit or whatever u plan on doing thats going to cost 4k. hell i priced up a RB25 swap and that came out to less than 4k!
