Piller Braces

Can Anyone tell me if Any companies make either a floor brace or a C-Piller Brace for the 88-91 civic hatchback? Any help would be great. Thanx!

The only braces I've heard of are the upper and lower strut bars, front and back. I've got all four on my 90 Civic LX.
There's also a brace available which is supposed to prevent wheel-hop, but that's strictly a front-end suspension brace.
Except for those I've mentioned, the only other thing I've heard of is installing a roll-cage. There are bolt-on and welded-on rollcages in various places, and once in a while you can find 'em on eBay.
No one else thinks of this, but I recommend a trailer hitch. They're only $59 or $69, and they tighten up the back end better than any strut bar combo.
I had a trailer hitch on my 89 hatch, and it completely transformed the car.

i can vouche for the trailer hitch, my old hatch had one and it was super stiff. my current hatch isnt as stiff

He means those braces that mount to the body of the car in the rear from one side to the other. They are pretty pointless if you ask me. The rear tub of the trunk provides enough rigidity. Places like strut towers make sense since in a hatch that is a big open space. But braces near the very end of the car are pointless if you ask me.

the C pillar brace is a good idea. the roof of the car is the most likely to twist/distort during cornering, so it makes sense to use the c pillar bar. I dont know of any companies that make them, but i've seen a couple guys on honda-tech.com advertising that they make and sell them.

In reality though, adding all those "monkey bars" is really prolonging the inevitable.. a roll cage.

Aerospeed makes pillar, floor, roof, door braces - not sure for which models. They are a waste of money if u ax me. Your better off installing a functional roll cage with LOTS of padding.
