I was wondering on a 2001 Acura Integra Type-R (stocked). What should i get for my car performance wise. As, in horsepower..i'm mostly focused on my engine and performance then i am with a sound system or looks. That comes later, i want *speed & performance* before looks and sound. So what would yall suggest i do first? Any ideas?...

I would get.
1. Intake
2. Exhaust
3. Header
Best to get these items first to let your car breath better.

What brand of the intake, exhaust , header are best known for my type of car? Or, does it not matter? because AEM, or Injen and DC is what i been looking at they somewhat good i guess..

I used to have an injen cold air on my gsr and it worked pretty well for me but if I was you I'd get the AEM V2. A friend of mine used to have a 98 (I think) Type R and he ran a 13.7 1/4 mile without FI. He had I/H/E and an edelbrock intake manifold and throttlebody and some more stuff I can't remember. I'll ask him and let you know though cause his car was quick as hell.

Well im running a Comptech intake with the cold air box......I was thinking of getting the AEM Cold air intake but I had a friend with one and his GS-R Hydrolocked while driving in the rain....
If you live in dry climates its great but here in San Diego you get rainy months and I wouldnt risk my motor for it.
My options where AEM, Mugen, and the Comptech.
AEM = a chance of hydro-locking during driving in the rain.
Mugen = mugen is really great but way to over priced its like $900 for the intake system.
Comptech = Works great and looks great almost stock with the air box.
Im a big JDM fanatic and dont usually purchase any US made parts but comptech has great quailty and its probebly the only non-JDM company i would go with.

honestly, if u wanted a straight-line racer, then u shoulda bought a different car (integra type r is aimed more towards the auto-x racing).
BUT
its an awesome car non-the less an i'd suggest following those ideas as well as...
nitrous. a 50 shot an ur deep into 13's...simple as that.

What are the best brands for these types of parts?
1. Header.
2. Catback Exhaust.
3. Supercharger or Turbo. (i havent decided yet) what should i pick?
4. Cold Air Intake System.

if you boost a car with high cr like the ITR you got a chance of blowing your engine just as easy. Id get the nirous just so that your engine wasnt under all the stress ALL the time, and as long as you tune it right with the N20 and make sure you got enough fuel going in with it your fine. plus MUCH cheaper.

u picked the wrong car if ur going for the super/turbo set-up.
without MAJOR money into the motor, ur going to blow it w/ either of the two.
o, btw, please call it nitrous "nos" is a brand.
it sounds like ur new to cars...please take care of that type r...i don't really know if ur ready for it.
