well, i guess somebody knows here, but how does nos actually work, i mean how does it add that much Hp, and does it damage your engine with that much forced speed?

It really is kinda simple, but first let's go over how an engine makes power.
Internal combustion engines are designed to convert one form of energy to another. The engine takes the energy in the fuel and then, through combustion, the fuel's energy is turned into heat and pressure to produce hp at the flywheel. In other words, the more fuel you can combust, the more power you can make.
First, you need a way of adding additional fuel. Second, you need something that will supply an additional amount of oxygen to let the fuel burn.
Regardless of the brand of nitrous, every nitrous system accomblishes both of the above. In some way, either though the factory injectors or by adding additional fuel nozzles, the nitrous system puts more fuel into the engine. The additional amount of oxygen needed to burn this fuel is also supplied by the nitrous systm. The additional oxygen us supplied by injecting gaseous nitrous oxide into the engine. When the nitrous gets inside the engine, it supplies almost twice the amount of oxygen for combustion. The air that we breath is about 21% oxygen. On the other hand, nitrous oxide contains 36% oxygen by weight.

On another note, referring to nitrous by the name "nos" is incorrect. "Nos" stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems, ie. a brand of nitrous. There are many different brands of nitrous, not that one only. Referring to it by "nitrous" is correct.
