Best kit for 5th gen

I was wondering what kit everyone likes on the 5th gen prelude...personally i like the rs wings west and oem...
What do yall think?

I believe that is a veilside style kit

You know, I'm not sure if that's Veilside. I got that from Erebuni, so who knows. It certainly looks like a veilside, but it lacks a little bit of flash.

Well erebuni makes replica kits...so i'm guessing it may be a replica

pg 135 in the new SCC mag or go to the VIS racing site and check out their widebody kit for 5th gen ludes - it's sickeningly great looking - makes the lude look like a supercar - I say go with this body kit or stay OEM!!!!
my opinion... they have it on a Phoenix Yellow Lude too!
someone find it and post that pic I'm sure everyone will like it - let me know

I personally like the OEM kit myself. The WW RS kit hangs a little too low for my taste. But this is all about personal preference.

i don't have anything on right now, as far as kits go. but i juss lowered my car and i think it's time for a kit, but i don't wanna make the car look to cartoony. i personally like oem kit myself.

If you have the money...get a Mugen kit..if not you can get a replica...I also like WW RS kit...very clean look

i would definitly have to say the wings west aggressor kit 2 http://www.wingswest.com/bodykits/97-2000PreludeAggressorType2.jpg i was thinking about getting a prelude and putting 18in racing hart c-5 and this kit on it but i kinda figured it would cost me 3 grand plus ...i dunno its a tad slow ........thats why im cosidering a ITR but it doesn't have the look of the lude but it does have the speed . Oh well enough of my jibberish ......this is my fav kit all time on a lude

yeah thats one of my fav kits too...if i'm going to the aggressive side i would choose that kit...Yeah i love the way to lude looks...its not too slow but yes the type-r has speed, but i just see way too many tegs and wannabe teg type-r's...I don't see too many ludes thats why i got mine.:D

I agree with God@af. The Wings West kit is really nice and looks really good on a lude. That is definatley my favorite kit for the 5th gen.

whatever you do get a kit before you lower your car.. cause i got my kit and thank god i didnt lower my car first or i wouldnt make it over speed bumps :).. i like vis kits.. but i like the 5th gens to be somewhat simplistic... WW has a kick ass kit for the 5th gen!! it is the blue lude pic!! go there and see... www.wingswest.com

yeah i've seen both of them...i like both of them...they are tight.

The oem is really nice if you wanna go for a more classy sleeker look ;) ....really sharp but if you wanna go for something that stands out go for the ww aggressor kit 2

how bout no kit?
i like the way the 5gen looks w/o one...
and you have more of a touring car look if you put a nice front end (not a wildass big mouth style one)
i just think that it would be DIFFERENT to not have one, since everyone does...
i like the sleeper look
my 3gen looks all stock, but smoother... that is what i like, but i know that there is only one good kit for it, and it is like 1500...
i guess that is why i dont have it...:eek:

i dink that the DraGon Z is the best kits for the new preludes. Wellz that is frum my oppinion

I agree with flylwsi. Why mess with perfection. The 5th gen 'ludes look so sweet. I would keep the whole thing stock on the exterior. I'd even debate whether or not to put an new exaust system on it, they just look so good.

factory kit is all im gonna use on my lude. :D it's clean, perfect fit, perfect color match. (doh, iz factory). mine's lowered and has SSR integrals on. very sharp. :D

Ok there djmotive8, you've got a prelude turned into a major hybrid. The side vents just behind the doors- stolen from the new mustangs. The hood vents- firebird vents ripoff. The rear decklid spoiler- a stretch, but it looks like the crappy tack-on spoilers the 80's camaros (I think) have, and the rest, it can be classified under rice. That, my little rice loving car buddy, is a major mistake, you have messed with perfection.

i definantly have to cast my vote for the OEM kit. I like the wings west rs also, but i dont like how low it hangs

I'm trying to find pics..but if I remember right the mugen sides and rear are slightly different than the oem kit...like they hang a little lower or something....I'd like Mugen sides and rear and OEM front lip....but thats jus me.

pkw1 has a kit in his sig that looks good anyone know which one it is? Look like oem side and rear skirt but don't know what front is.

Ok, but is it different than the stock front on the SH? And where can it be purchased?

the only thing the SH has is body colored side skirts. there is no difference in the front rear or side skirts from the base model. the OEM kit can be had from honda, not sure if they still stock it though since they don't carry the prelude anymore. they can be found around the internet and such. VIS may have a knock off, or you can get the wings west one like mine.

I like the R33 kit on the Prelude. It's definatly my fav. It looks really clean and sharp. way better than the factory. Jus my oppinion :cool:

I didn't even think you had a kit on yours.. just a front lip, unless you changed it.. I vote for cyber's kit, but I'm anti body kit, and his looks most stock. I do think veilside kits are best all around, if you want to go that way.

I love the way the Mugen kit's look on the lude's, so fresh and so clean.....

am i the only one who things the invader kit is very ugly? it looks like a crashed space ship or something. the oem is def the nicest, i think. and as for the person who made fun of the "riced" honda, i think it was pretty nice except for the tails and hood. you gotta do extreme things to a car to make it noticed now a days. the side vents arent like the mustang, the cheaper mustangs just have plastic instead of holes, lol. it looks so cheap. the battle z looks better then the vader kit.

they are very hard to find, even thru the dealership [since ludes are discontinued].
some onlineshops sell them.. but in limited colors [ex: hard to find pearl white, etc] it's also crazy expensive!!

if u like the oem style, the next best thing is to get the wwrs kit.. it's a lil more aggressive, but it's cheaper!

oh, and i like the OEM kit best for the 5th gen. clean = good
mugen is cool too i guess..

that veilside kit is really nice!
