pull down motors...

Does anyone know if Trans Am GTA's, specifically 89, came with different pull down motors. Mines won't close, supposedly because of the solenoid thing, but all the ones on ebay look different than mine. They all are black on top, where the latch should catch, but mines just looks metal... Has anyone ever replaced their lift gate unit? Is it easy?

4 bolts and linkage for the lock , yes the ones on ebay are going to look different as they are new replicas not original. But email the seller first before bidding to make sure though some scammers on there show the whole thing and just send a bracet or something. :rolleyes:

replaceing the motor is mad easiey just remove the cover and the bolts that hold it in plce disconnect the harnesses adn and revese the prosess for instaltion for the new motor the are not cheap though so look for a good deal :banghead:
