R34 V Spec or 360 Modena

I am just curious to see how people around the world feel about this subject. I ask people i know about which they would choose but only a fraction of them even have a clue of what a Skyline is. I have studied the car for about 2 years now and i want to see how you all think about this matchup. If someone but a brand new R34 and a brand new 360 in front of you and said you could have one of them for free which would you go home in. Oh and none of that "I would take the ferrari and trade it in for something else" because that defeats the pourpose of the question.

I would choose the Skyline, but this is based more on the fact that modifying a Skyline is much easier. Exclusivity/looks does mean something as well, for example.........If given a choice between a Viper GTS and V-spec I would choose the GTS (has the looks and the modability).

edit: If forced to keep the vehicles stock, I'd take the 360 in a heartbeat.

Without a doubt, The 360 Modena! I think the R34 is the best Japanese car ever, but I wouldn't take anything over a Ferrari! The 360 Modena is the most beutiful car ever (IMO). I don't think these two cars should be compared. They are so extremely different. The 360 is about $100,000 more.

you do have your points, but for me i would choose the skyline. even though you would probably get more looks with the ferrari (and more chicks). but personally i just have a love for the car.

id choose the car that is more exotic. if you put those two cars side by side, which one would attract more attention? a five-year old kid knows the name "ferrari". but for the skyline, unfortunatly, only a small handful of people know the abilities of it. so, to get status and respect, id choose the ferrari. if i took a skyline and pulled up next to a ricer in singapore, he would not give a second look at my car. if i challenged him, he would jump at the chance to smoke me. but if i did the same in a ferrari, he would be drooling away..

considering that i drive my car, and the upkeep and service on a ferrari is through the roof, i'd take the skyline for the simple fact that i can drive it daily.

Skyline hands down...this has been the car of my dreams for i can't remember how long....plus i could still pull chicks in it......not to mention that the AWD would be useful around here

No it's not- the Demand has outstripped supply (With 3-4 year waiting lists in the US) in the US of A for so long- they have simply stopped taking orders- or so my sources tell me- probably just a temporary measure.............

Either way- I'd go for the 360 Modena- or better yet a Porsche 911 Turbo- I saw Skylines every day in hoardes when I lived in NZ- I'm sick of the sight of them- they look like a shoebox on wheels with one of teh best bodykits in the business, have an outdated motor that is too front-heavy- but still very draggable and tuneable- but the MR setup is just too good for a track-racer like me to turn down in the end.........and on top of that the MOdena engine is up to Euro4 emmissions standards- NO TREE HUGGERS THROWING STUFF AT ME AS I DRVIE DOWN THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, the R34 is justifiably cheaper with reason. There's a few threads about this comparison on the UK GTROC forums, I'll try and dig them out. Some very good points where made on those threads.

As for the emissions and tree huggers thing, I have to comment (or rant, as this thing really gets me going). I couldn't care less if the car I buy is very pollutive (is that even a word?) or very loud (which I would want in a performance car). It isn't like these stupid tree huggers don't pollute themselves, and I couldn't care less if my car does - this aspect is my lowest priority when buying a car and I don't care what others think as it is my money, and my car, which I will drive (or race). And if they chuck stuff at my car, then I would chuck stuff at them. I'd probably even have a sticker saying 'this car is decatted' :icon16: :rofl: These tree huggers try to ruin our hobby (well they do in the UK), so I will fight back. :mad:

As for getting bored of seeing Skylines, I could never get bored of that :smokin: , especially as there are some major power ones here.

I'll take the R34 GT-R because I like a tuneable car, and the car meets all my requirements (and it isn't emissions friendly, an extra bonus, and even it was, I'd still take it).

Although I really want a Skyline badly :grinno: , I would take the 360 Modena over it. My dream car is still a Ferrari and nothing will change that :smile:

Dude, unless u get a heart transplant, there's no way a civic can bur a skyline. There's no way u can can a engine swap with the cange u get from a civc instead of a Skyline.

It all depends on what skyline you are talking about. The skyline range encompases ALOT more than just the GTR.

Could you build a civic to beat a skyline YES would I want to drive it HELL NO
