anyone here put these in 99-00 civic si. thinkin of goin for these in my vti but want every good point/opinion and every bad point /opinion no matter how small. my engine is totally stock (b16a2) and just have aem cai at the moment. its my only car and is for everyday driving around town so must be as reliable/almost as when it came out of factory. i have fujitsubo rm-01a catback on the way and ek9 exhaust manifold to go on. will also be puttin jun springs and retainers in. i dont really know anyhting technical so please bare with me if i ask silly questions. intend to get chip/setup done on rollin road ie increase rev limit etc because believe these make power higher than stock 8300 rpm redline.

note - not goin for any wilder cams like jun 3 cos just to crazy for everday drivin and believe i will have to start messin with engine bits then.

You need to upgrade your valvetrain to run even 2's. Any companies second stage cams need to be complimented with a stronger vavletrain.

THey are all spec'ed a little different, but they are all about the same, if you can make sense of that.

Throw some CTR pistons in there, at the least. It'll feel somewhat sluggish when you first hit vtec and the massive duration starts bleeding off some cylinder pressure.

lost me there a little. like i said i dont know much about tech stuff. wanna keep it as cheap as possible. will not changin pistons cause problems or will i just loose a little power. i had chance a few weeks ago to buy ctr cams, springs, retainers, pistons and crankshaft of local guy as well but needed money to buy some other stuff.
