Is a smart system necessary?

Should I get like a ZEX smart system, or am I fine with the F&F style NOS, where you just push the button manually rather than it automaticaly goes on at WOT? It won't be anything higher than a 70 shot, maybe 50, preferrably 60. I also wont use it unless I need to, and only after 4500 RPM at WOT.

you don't need to pay for the name. If you know what you are doing somewhat or know someone that does just get a push button switch and mount it so that at WOT it is pressed you can run it so that the switch is the main arming and then have the push buttin in the cabin to make it actually kick in...example below
WOT button ----- toggle switch in cabin (toggle switch armed and the NOS kicks in at WOT)
WOT button ----- push button in cabin (if at WOT and you push the button in cabin, NOS kicks in)
WOT button ----- toggle switch ---- push button (both toggle and push button in cabin) (toggle armed your at WOT and you push the button and the nos kicks in)

Ok , 1st IMO Zex is crap! 2nd go with a NOS or NX system. They come with a WOT switch and everything else that is needed. I would go wet also and direct port if you are wanting to be in the 75+ range. The only thing that does not come with the NOS or NX kits is colder sparkplugs but they can be gotten at any local auto parts store. And whatever you do don't get platinum, get NGK or Nippion Denso plugs they are the best for hondas!
