Well I am at some cross roads, The only door to actually work is the drivers side. The passenger side doesn't work, and niether do either of the back seats, has anyone ever seen or heard of this problem before and how can I go about fixing it?

That's really weird. Have you gone to a garage to see if they can be fixed? My dad has an '89 Bonneville and the doors work fine and have never had problems.

I have an 89 bonneville se, and only the drivers door opens. When i got the car the driver side rear door did not work. Now the passenger doors dont work. What I find odd is that both passenger doors failed within a week of each other. I can occasionally open them if i play with the locks and keep trying to open them. At first trying to open the door doesn't feel like it is even connected, then after a while the handle gives some resistance and just seems to be locked. When the passenger doors are acting up the fasten seatbelt light comes on.
I guess my first question is what about the door (lock) causes the seatbelt light on the dash to light? Note: door is closed, dome light is not on.
Has anyone else had a similar experience or know of the cause or a cure?
Thanks

Is it because of the door locks or the door latch itself?

There are metal rods that run from the handle to the latch that are probably bent. If you can get the door open, remove teh door panel and you'll see the rods. Where they bend around other items is where they get out of whack, try straightening them out a bit and see if the door will work. Trying to get the inner door panel off without the door open is a big pain in the butt.

Well I had to take panel off with door closed and using screwdriver play with the inside of latch just to get door open.Once you are inside you can assess what problem is.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have to tear the doors apart this weekend and see what i can see.
