wassup guys what could be the problem with my 92 si. When in gear and driving the first like 2500rpms it boggs really bad like stands still and then finally catches up to how it should responding. what could be the problem? we have already changed the vtec solenoid, any other things i should check, thanks!

check fuel injectors...fuel regulator...and sometimes cleaning the intake mani helps.

i've had a bad injector, a leaky injector, and lose regulator...they all had that bogging down until the 2500 rpm range. recently my car started acting up again....checked it yesterday to find a lose & leaking regulator. tightened it up and the bogging went away

let me go take some pic...be back in 5

i almost forgot, also check your plug wires. they could be grounding out. i've had that happen as well. look on the under side of your hood for a white powdery substance. that is how i noticed it was going on with my ride.

edit: damnit, the upload isn't working. what is your e-mail addy?

the FPR (fuel pressuse regualtor) on a si is on the end of the fuel rail near the driver side of the car, it should have a vaccum line going to it..

its probably not spark wires because it boggs up to 2500rpms and then when vtec kicks in at 5500rpms you can smell fuel but mind you we have changed the vtec solenoid and it is not throwing that code anymore.......anyone have any other ideas?

hmm well the regulator does not seem to tightem or anything like that it is like connected to the fuel rail and yea even the circle head of it doesnt move and doesnt seem to be able to move so whats up with that

the circle head doesn't move. all you do is tighten the 2 bolts holding it in...the 2 i pointed out

look at your intake mani. if either the regulator or the injectors are leaking you will see gas on the intake mani.

haha yea right after i posted that i felt like an idiot well we tightened those and took out fuel injectors cleaned them and inside the fuel injector holes of the mani, and it still boggs and let me emphasize this more this thing boggs like woah!!!! its kinda like or actually worse than if you were to try to drive with e brake up and all of a sudden you let it down at exactly 2500 rpms and the car went back to normal grrrrrrr we really dont want to take it to a shop, but i guess we could just have them diagnose it and fix it ourselves i suppose.
