Seriously man i thought this was solved in the other post, :sly: If it says "twin turbo" and it's a 89-92 it's either a 2.0 1G supra, or a 2.5 1JZ supra, you'll have to ask whoever is selling it to know which if they don't say. Late 88 could be a 1jz car, but 89 was actually the transitional year when everything changed. Do you have pics of the car? The badge on the front or back?.

Sorry guy, thats a 1G-GTE GA70 supra, not a JZA70. It's about as fast as an n/a 7M but with turbo's.

You've never ridden in a n/a supra? It's quick but it's not fast, the 1g is a tiny 2.0L engine that's way to small for the 3600lb tank. It's a great engine but only in smaller/lighter cars.

Would it be worth buying for 2500$??? The car is in great condition. only 135000kms, 5spd

Think about it, there is no support for this engine in North America, your gonna have to order basic tune up parts from japan or toyota. If you just want to be different and have a GA70 to sit in the garage then ok, but if you want a daily driver then this is not it.

i dont know if anyone'll read this but i had to sign up just to say:
that car in the pic is a 2.5litre twin turbo with the 1JZ engine in it. you can tell cos the badge on the grill says 2.5
although the engine does look startlingly like the 2.0 1G-gte engine of a 2.0tt supra (i've got one) maybe someones been messing around sticking different badges on.

That's not a 1JZ-GTE in the pic, it's a 1G-GTE, the car "could" possibly have been a JZA70, but it's much more likely some moron swapped a 2.5 badge on to pick up chicks. You of all people should know this since you have a GA70.

What kind of info? You could try the http://www.toymods.org.au/ forums. They's always someone putting a 1G into a celica or something there.
