does anyone know the difficulty in upgrading the older diabolo (91) with the newer 6.0 style 300zx headlights? is it as easy as removing the pop ups and inserting the 300z b lamps. or is there more to it. Thanks in advance. the fact that the older Diabolos are comming down in price+ the fact that there are super charger kits now available makes the prospect of owning a classic diabolo very tempting. I do prefer the non pop up front head lights though. any ideas

Oh ya you have got to do more than just replacing lights, you have to change the whole front part of the diablo, along with the bumper(optional) beacuse the light openings are not the same, the new ones have curved parts infront of the lights, and they have these small front light flashers. Dont forget the small openings on the sides of the front.. they no longer exist.

that does look great big thums up!. any idea on cost/ level of effort to do all of the work. or should I just pay for the newer ones for other reasons (performance)?

well, i assume that all the work with the parts would cost about $10,000, not much..but maybe the paint job will be the costy part!!!! that depends on you then..

Glad to answer your questions.

I did think of buying an old Diablo and changing it to a vt60 too. I know that the vt60's front track is wider than any of the Diablo's so the whole front part is wider. I prefer the vt60 front bumper, I also like the Strosek front bumper but I would'nt put it on my car.
If you replace the headlights, I recommend to paint the rear lamps frames to the color of the car.

well well..

from browsing a couple of sites, I reached the Koenig tuner, and It could give a close idea of what parts would cost, as for the dashboard, it could be around $2,000-$4,000. Its pretty much I guess. check this site for more info.

yep I agree. the strosek front spoiler is not as sexy as the 6.0 by far. I guess the wheels and the dash are do-able. Whells look much nice from the 6.0. still hate the look of those pop up headlites. reming=ds me of the 80's. thanks for all of the replies
