If you're going to give half info, don't give info. A B18C could be A. a JDM GSR, or B. A JDM ITR. Japan doesn't use numbers at the end except on one very old and impossible to find B16A1 from the first SiR rex's. Tell tell the difference you need to look for a couple thing, one is the intake manifold, the GSR has a plenium that folds down and under the runners, and will have a P72 stamp on it, the ITR will have a normal looking intake amnifold, and a PR3-3 stamp on it.

Since there is no B18C in the states (they all have a 1 or 5 at the end) so whereever he saw it, it was a JDM motor.

Come on man, are you stoned?
ok whats the diff between the b18c and the b18c5
Do you see what I am saying now. Yes a B18C5 is USDM and a B18C is JDM he wants to know there difference between them. There's a few differences between a GSR motor and a ITR motor, and all the answes can be found in a search, but beside Hp, there is compression, torque, GSR has a secondary butterflies on the IM, The IM look comletely different, the cams are spec'ed completely different, their ECU's run different maps, and look for some different things, and on, and on, and on....

Real simple dude.
If it just says B18C, it is from Japan, and COULD be either a JDM GSR, or JDM ITR motor.
If it says B18C5, it is a USDM ITR motor.
You need to know what to look for, to tell the difference between them.
The one in your link to Ebay is an ITR. You can tell by the intake manifold.
It doesn't matter what year it is, they are all going to say B18C if they are from Japan.

Yup.
If you say B18C people will know what you're talking about though. There's just a few Honda geeks who get their cocks tied in a knot over specifics...

NO, NO, NO
B18C = JDM GSR OR ITR
B18C1 = USDM GSR
B18C5 + USDM ITR
NUMBER AT THE END = USDM

No there is a big difference between the GSR and the ITR. And I am one of those geeks because they are different motors. I guess if I said you had a B16, you wouldn't correct and say "no, it is a B16B, not just a B16"
