throttle bodies

how much more power can you get from a 70 mm throttle body compared with a 68mm one. its a 40 dollar differece between the two. is it worth the fourty extra buck for just two mm? or does it depend on what im wanting to do with the car? thanks for any and all of the help!

It depends on the other mods you have, or moda you plan on getting. Some light headwork, basic bolt ons, and a better cam will net you better gains from it than just slapping it on.

what about a throttle body spacer? i found one for $80. thats cheaper than a cai. is it worth the money for my gsr?

Dont buy a throttlebody or spacer unless you are puching 500+ hp. I have a buddy that put down 475 with his stock tb.

I have a SRP 65mm tb with an equal sized skunk 2 manifold and it works great! the biggest problem you will see is finding the right manifold to match your tb. if you get a huge tb with a small manifold, you are defeating the purpose! as far as what size to go with, if you plan on adding boost, get every bit of space you can! why waste all that precious air to a bottle-neck? throttle body spacers seem to be a big waste of money. the only benefit with them is that they claim to atomize fuel better due to their swirl pattern. y not take a dremel and make you some swirlies? it really is about the same effect if you ask me, but thats just my opinion. :)
