First Night at Track

So I went to NE Dragway this Friday night to finally get some times. It was a cold night about 40 degrees. That track was not very sticky. I used brand new 10.5 M/T on weld pro-stars, up front left my silver polished bullits. 245/45
My high was an 11.456 low was a 11.085 and a few inbetween. My 60's were all around 1.9(I should be getting better 60's), I was having a tough time getting out of the hole. Gonna try to work on it next week and run 10's.
There was a lot of Mustangs up there Friday. 2 Mach1's one running mid 13's another running high 12's. 2 03 Cobra's one running high 12's another running flat 12's. One 93 Cobra running mid 12's also. I don't know what any of these cars had done to them I was too busy trying to fiddle with my own car all night cause I haven't had much track time.

They are running till the end of this month I believe. Just as long as weather holds up.
I had my engine dynoed, I haven't had a chassi dynoed so I don't know what is actually being put down to the ground. But the engine dyno and tune was around 630hp 680ft/lbs.

200hp knocker??? I don't even know what that is. My engine is a N /A 393 custom built.

GTStang, what in the world is with that crap at the bottom of your posts??? An LS1 cannot be beaten??? Yes, it can, i dont see all LS1 engines running 11's, so therefore it CAN be beaten. All mustangs are stock, but YOUR mustang isnt stock.....???? All LS1's run mid to high 12's bone stock, no they dont...a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 w/ a LS1 DOES NOT run high 12's. A new Cobra runs mid 13's??? With who driving...your grandma???? With the right driver these car's can turn low 13's to mid-12's. 12.67 @ 110.11mph on stock tires w/ a strong headwind. (Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords July 2002) wtf is wrong with you??? :screwy:

You make a lot of great points and I totally agree. With all the good thought put into this post you should have stopped and thought one thing though..... maybe the sig is a joke?
Don't feel bad I get at least 1 Private Message or post a month asking me about if I'm serious about my sig.

I still love his sig, thought about putting it as mine, but then there would be no fun in it...
Those are some excellent times. I know you can hit better 60's times than that, but it also could be because it was in the 40's outside  . That track was no where near warm...

I know I can do better 60's and I'm sure the cold weather wasn't helping. But I also really haven't gone for broke yet of the line. After investing so much time and money, I'm kinda scared too  Plus busting something when the track is an hour+ away from my house would suck ass. I will prob go full out this week, I really want 10's before winter.
Also Hi-Flow I read that post you had a link to. Most street nights and things like that time starts when you move. If you were doing something like competive real street etc.., You go of a pro-tree which goes both cars staged, all 3 yellows lights at once, then green instead of a countdown of the yellows. On this tree time starts on the green not when you react.
