F'ing AWESOME movie. Mind you, it's ultra-super-mega-really, really-(I mean REALLY...) violent. And fairly graphic about it, too.

But, it is highly stylized, and it mostly drives the story. It's very Tarantino, and there are numerous 'uncomfortable' moments in the movie, for various reasons.

I say highly recommended, unless you can't handle the violence.

Was supposed to see it lastnight but the other person who decided to tag along to go to the movies wasn't 18 so she couldn't get in. So we had to see the Rundown instead which was pretty bad with the exception of a few funny parts.

This movie was everything I expected from Tarantino. It's one of the 2 movies that is worth the $8.50 I spent on a ticket. Here's a little piece of cool information for ya:
The fight scene where the Bride is fighting the crazy 88's took 8 weeks to get all on film. There isn't ANY CGI in that scene, as Tarantino thinks that's the easy way out and doesn't use it. Just to put that into perspective, it took 10 weeks to get ALL of Pulp Fiction on film.

Tarantino is a genius...the way he put it so that it is a bunch of different homages to early chinese and japanese films is awesome.
the bride's yellow suit is reminiscent of bruce lee's chinese connection(i think) and the japanese anime used and the sword: very f'ing awesome.
this movie is good, can't wait for the next one.

That's indeed correct. The yellow tracksuit is reminiscent of the one Bruce Lee wears in "Enter the Dragon". If you havent seen any Bruce Lee movies i highly recommend them. The scripts are really old fashioned and the fight scenes arent always well shot but his fighting ability and physique are out of this world.

One of the best movies I've seen this year...two thumbs up, way up...

I took my girl friend to see it(and she had no idea who Quentin Tarantino is) and we both loved it. The scene during the Crazy 88 fight where it switched to b&w was very cool and if that scene had been shot in color all I can think of was the NC17 the movie would've received. Honestly I think it was a good idea to split the movie into two parts and I will be impatiently waiting for the second volume. I just hope its as good as the first part.

Absolutely incredible film. Very straight forward with so much depth. I would say it is a satire of classic chinese kung fu movies mixed with American westerns. Tarantino has created a female-dominatrix-Neo out of Uma Thurman.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! That movie fuckin ROCKED! Well worth the $8.50!

It's nothing like the Charlie's Angel copy that the preview made it out to be. It's very violent and many wicked fight scenes.
