Engine rebuild

I have a 1991 acura integra ls special edition with 175000 miles on it. My friend told me to keep the engine thats in there. If i do keep that engine what parts would i need for it. He said i would need a new head for it. Is he correct. Or should i just forget the rebuild of that engine and just do a swap with a B18c.

well you could always rebuild it and boost it and it would be good as new. I do like the idea of the B18C swap tho..

get this, my friend just bought a 90 integ ls with 299,000 miles on it, and it's still pretty good. heres the dumb part, he got it for $3000, what an idiot. his excuse, he just needed a car. im sorry if i need a car i still wouldn't waste 3'gs on a car with that many miles, and he just fail the smog test too.

ha!! i was payed by my aunt for a trade of my car for hers. I traded a 1994 ford escort for her 1991 acura integra. so boooyyahh to you.

rebuild the bottom end with some high cr pistons, and then rebuild a GSR or SI head w/ some mild cams and slap it on your block, there you got more power than a GSR for sure and cheaper as well. and then with your tranny you wont be as fast as if you had a GSR but youll get much better freeway mileage.
