I would like to know how much it would cost to change the color of the RSX? I want the quality to be just as good as the manufactuer. The entire car is to be change with the possibility of fx's. I need to know price ranges with and without fx's. Please don't guess, i need factually numbers. If anyone knows a place in the northeast region, preferablity between Virginia and Connecticut, please forward their numbers.
Thanks. :smokin:

If you want a true color change, like the whole car, jabs, entire engine bay, the frame, etc...a quality job..nice paint...your taking like 8-10k, from prices I've heard from shops around here. Thats not a "fake"number," thats an actual price range I know someone was qouted. My advice, since you want a "hard number" is look in the phone book for a good shop and call some up and ask. Color changes arn't cheap. To really do a true color change, you have to drop the engine, strip the interior down to the bare metal, same for the trunk, doors, etc. Then comes the prep and painting, etc. It is a lot less if you don't care, and just have them shoot the exterior and whatever junk they can reach. It looks like shit though to do it half-ass. If you wanna do it, pay the extra cash and half it done right. It's always more expensive to fix screw up's later. Also, the price of a color change can change derastically depending on the paint color/type. The Paint itself for a Chemeleon paint-job will cost a shit-load more than the paint for a simple blue pearl, for example. That will be refected on your cost.

Just remember one thing when doing paint or body work. A majority of the body shops out there, not all though, cut corners and comprimse quality as a result. I have seen it time and time again. Make sure you know the type of work a shop does before you go there.
