Need cheap or free mods to help toast rice!!

Hi, I need some info on how to juice my GPGT but im working on like a $100 budget right now, so far I've opened my air box, K&N filter, removed throttle body screen, bosch platnum 4 plugs, Mobil 1 synthetic, I just need to get a couple extra ponies quick!
P.S. ...and why can't I add a stock supercharger to my GT?

You can't add a supercharger because your computer and wiring harness are not right, your transmission is too weak, and your motor is too weak. There are a lot more differences between the non-supercharged and supercharged motors besides the supercharger ;)
Go to www.zzperformance.com and check out their free mods list. You can get a TB coolant plug. That will help keep the temps down in the upper intake. It's not a good idea if you live in a cold climate state though..where it gets cold in the winter ;) A lower thermostat is a good idea too...unless you live in one of those cold states. You could put in a FWI, that would help. That's about all I can think of...unless you find some more money somewhere.
You must have some driving problems though if you need a lot of mods to beat ricers :P I have no problems with my GT, and it's bone stock. It even has 70lb tires on it!!!
Also, the Bosch plugs aren't a good idea for a grand prix. The platinum in them is too weak for GM's DIS ignition system. They burn out real fast. Stick with stock AC Delco plugs..or champion copper plus plugs.

Seems like you got the old ricer challange.. To put it this way. You cant beat rice. Rice is everywhere! Shoulda got a gtp, all I gotta say. have fun!

When it comes to customizing your ride the key word is potental! the grand prix 3.8L V6 is one of the best GM engines built to date, Ive seen these engines non-aspirated modified up to 320 horsepower! Trust me when I say that if my car insurance allowed me to I would have bought the GTP but I consider myself lucky that I didnt wind up in a sunfire!
Point being after all is said and done, If I had the money I could ( and would) leave the rice cryin like a kid in a coffee can just like they are!

Yeah it hate to run up agains one of those motors. All in all the grand prix is a great car. Gt are nice gtp's are awsome. Yeah insurance can be a bug. Mines up there as well. Yes your right, have to have a car with potental, and dsm's are second to none $1000 into 1st gen talon/eclipse boom your hitting low 13's mid 12's. I dont think modded dsms go home crying to often.. have a good weekend...!

Just a little note that could help you out, myself and others have had bad expierences with bosch plat 4's with Pontiacs, but with other people they work fine. I'd stick with AC Delco.

you can use a fume pump for a boat as an electronic turbo and get some better mid to top end. i have one in my gp gt and it works great. i see improvement in the 40mph-60mph time and i can go 105mph at 3000rpm before my speed limiter kicks in. i put it in the fender wall blowing into my stock air box with a k&n and the tb screen removed. i've posted a thread on this before...the cost is only about $60

I am the master of cheap/free mods lol, its hard being a college student.
Anyway, the throttle plug thing someone mentioned is a good idea if its not too cold. You could just do what I did, get a piece of copper tubing (not positive what size you would need) and unplug the hose running from the radiator to your throttle body, and the one running out of the throttle body and loop them together.
While your under there you should tighten up your throttle cable to give you a little better throttle response, id have to say this is the one of the best things you can do to a car for free.
Take something like an old rubber strap and cut it into pieces and fill your motor mounts in with those pieces, you can do this without taking the mounts out which is great.
This next one isnt really for horsepower but if your going to be running your car hard id reccomend it. Make an oil catch can, go to home depot and find a water seperator with the air compressor accesories, get a couple of fittings, some thread lock, some tubing, and run this where you pvc valve is. It keeps all the "gunk" in your oil from getting caught up in your motor and will make your engine last a lot longer.
If your really desperate and broke you could gut your cat and get maybe 1-2hp but i wouldnt reccomend it.
If i think of something else ill post it up.

I dont like gimick plugs,like splitfires and +4's.I worked in a auto parts store for a few year's.Those types of plugs are not engine specific, like AC-Delco and Autolite.If you look on a parts shelf you will see that Splitfire and +4's only make maybe 20 different plugs.What fits in a GP will also fit about 100 different makes and models.They are not close to the factory heat range and wount last near as long.When I worked in a GM parts department,the Tech's would replace alot of those plugs (splitfire/+4) due to missfires and fouling.
Do yourself a favor and go back to stock AC-Delco part # 41-101 gapped @ .060
