**Problem here need help**

I have a question while my dad is driving his car it seems to stall while you put in it in neutral. It turns off. If anyone has any answers please post. Thanks :)

Well earlier I was pressing gas in neutral and i took it up to about 4500 rpm and the car shut off after that. Is that normal?

i believe someone else had the same problem in another board.
its either ur

MAFS not working correctly.

ur ECU being wired wrong.

or ur fuel pump isnt pumping enuff fuel, u must get a walbro or atleast a 255 litre per hour pump.

ur compression will be really high if u dont. my friend ran his engine like this for a bit and sorta leaned it out. it didnt perform that well after that, but he fixed it up again and it was running ok.

ill look on the other boards and see if i come up with anyhting.

you dont' need a walbro unless you're running nos or have a high capacity engine, otherwise it will just put a slit in your wallet for the extra gas going to your car that's not beneficial at all.

that may be the prob... just find a used fuel pump that works good, $20 or so

I had a similar problem w/ my stanza (yeah I almost rebuilt the whole car :icon16: ) anyway I pretty sure it is one of your vacuum lines! Check for cracked or shaky vacuum hoses.

I even replaced the ECU on the car by my self, when that did not work I changed the air sensor!! That was not it too, finally I took it to the dealer were the put a stopper in one of the lines and it ran like new!
