Alright, my buddy owns an eagle talon and chills and talks on a forum on the website www.orldsm.com anyways, i was reading posts from these dudes, and i swear to god every single post was yeah i fucked up some dumbass ricer driving an integra or a civic.. Wtf seriously, A TSI Talon 90-91 has 195 horse or so? So fucking what, they are running 14.80 - 16 seconds. What is everyone else running in the honda world? IM driving a 91 integra b18a1, I know they will smoke my ass but the souped up integra and civics must be able to take a damn turbo talon or eclipse?

Anyways it just pisses me off, like they are all big shit thinking they can dominate in every aspect of anything..

Alot of people are what I call "Brand Nazi's" they think that __________________ is the only good car in the world. Sorry but everyone from Yugo to Ferrari has its pros, cons and lemons. Also it's not that Honda's or any other car is bad, it's that you have people with an attitude making the scene look bad. So one guy acts like his car is the best, and it casts a bad light on enthusiasts of that brand and all enthusiasts as well. There's alot of stuff in the scene I dont like, but I can respect and appreciate the efforts people put into their cars to personalize it to their liking.

While I am dumbfounded by the Honduh-loving community's insistence on modifying an inferior car, I encourage them to take their cars to the next level: go ahead, swap to a VTEC B-series, build the internals, and turbo the shit out of it...and you'll pretty much have the equivalent of a stock FWD turbo DSM. My whole 1990 Talon TSi AWD in perfect running condition cost less than a JDM B16 from an importer. Bottom line, Honduhs are for people who want to jump on a bandwagon (or win poorly judged shows), but turbo DSMs, turbo supras, rotaries, Z-cars, turbo/supercharged MR2s, WRXs, EVOs, TT 3000GTs/Stealths, and Starions/Conquests are for people who want to go fast and look good within the boundaries of good taste while doing so. Granted, Honduh's do have some power potential when taken to extremes, but it nearly always would be less complicated to do the same to one of the above cars.

A Yugo only weighs 1836 lbs? Imagine the HP-to-weight ratio if I can figure out how to swap a 4G63T into it! If people can put them into Hyundai Excels....

i know plenty of people jump on the honda bandwangon b/c a lot of misc stuff is relatively inexpensive.....itz not until people want high hp that they realize itz more expensive than once thought....but i exploit the best part of my honda....and that's curves....that's my thing....straight line speed is ok, but i love the curves even the more....but the thing that agravates me is when people talk about cars they haven't owned, driven, or worked on....reading reviews, comparisons, and hearsay is one thing......but u have to have owned the car and worked on it to understand

I hate people who bash cars in general, I myself am a car fanatic I like anything fast or nice etc, except for all go and no show slow cars etc, actually I really don't care for bodykits at all either but i don't go around flamming people and talking trash to them. GAH!!!! After owning a Honda Civic (EG) Powered by a Carbuerated (sp) D15b I can honestly say that the experience has been neither rewarding nor unfrustrating. You see the problem here is that Honda design this beautiful chassis, add a mind blowing gearbox and then dump this hopelessly gutless engine in the (quite damn good looking) car. Needless to say that B-series transplants are well worth the money- since they have the power to unleash the beast that is the chassis.

In summary Hondas=:thumbup: D15's=:gay:

My workmate tells me my CRX is a shit box every day. All he does is try to find faults with it to be able to make his nissan exa look good. My car is better looking, handles better, is faster, is better equipped, worth more, more respected, more reliable, but you know the only reason's his comparisons REALLY shit me? I second this. There's a difference between band-waggoners who THINK they're racers with Civics and their $20 mufflers, and people who genuinely like Honda's practicality. Honda's are great cars, they're very efficient, inexpensive, and reliable. However, people like a cheap way to 'soop' them up. It's sad when AMERICAN people are defending Honda/Acura. Almost any sports car has the right to beat a Civic, in my opinion. I would SOOOOOOOOO much rather have a normal BMW or Volkswagen, than any Honda!! :flipa:

Anyway- the Honda + FI set up shouldn't be too much- if you know the right people- take the block out of a CRV, the head off a Civic Type R (Expensive if you live in the US- and most places really) Turbo, Intercooler, BOV, wastegate ($5000) and some internals and misc upgrades (about another $5000) Either way it's rewarding and it's money well spent

1. Quality is lacking? Take a look at Benz? Theyre electrical systems are worse than Jaguar circa 1970

2. Relative to what? A Honda? Yes? A Benz? No. A comaparable E-Class costs 10 grand more than my 530i.

I took a curve(it was an on-ramp) at 120km/h. No suqeal from the tires, no shaking or oversteer. You may not think its fun(I do prefer ass out slides) but man it was cool.

I challenge you to go test drive an E39 5 series, or any BMW. I dont know what your beef with them is. Virtually every car mag has said the 5 is the best sedan you can buy.
