My truck is stuck in park. We've been told it was a trailer hitch connection, so disconnected that, then cruise, then another switch completely and it blows the 15 amp fuse each time you try to put the truck in reverse. Any clues??? Pllllllllllease help if you can

what type of truck, trans, which fuses blow, when ?? any information that is specific will be of greater help.... if it doesn't shift out of park with mech. linkage type, could be binding. if alls fine, could be lockout giving problems.

My husband finally isolated the problem, although it wasn't anything that had shorted out as had been suggested. Some switch under the truck.

Thanks for trying to help.

To all Ford 93-96 f150 drivers, Stuck in park park. This is mentioned in the owners manual. The fuse is a 15amp mini and is located under the hood. If anybody is really interested I will get more specific.

I'm interested....the problem I have is that I have been driving my '95 F-150, 5.8 liter V-8 since day 1...no problem...over the last 6 months, I've only driven it sporadically and in fact, had to replace the drained battery.

Then, over the last weekend, I drove it to Tahoe and back (from Sacramento)...parked it...no problem...

I then started it and everything was fine...the problem was that the ABS light was flashing and the darn thing wouldn't go into gear...can you help, please?

This was the problem we had. After many attempts to find the problem, we found that the cruise control reset switch was shorting out fuses almost as fast as we replaced them. Hope this helps you. No one could ever help us. We found the problem when we had the hood up and I just happened to see some sparks on the module.
