Hey! I'm Up North opposed to down south. Actually I'm in Ottawa, or exactly a suburb called Nepean which is like Ottawa essentially. It's in Canada for those who don't know and I'm slowly getting wrmaer up here. There's still lots of snow on my lawn and I can still go snowboarding. :)

I'm in Tigard, Oregon USA. It's a suburb of Portland, Oregons biggest town, about 600K people in Portland. So not that big compared to most large citys.
Tigard is right next to it, shares borders. Any one else near here?

You're from the UK, maybe you can help me here...
My preferred reading is magazines imported from Britain (particularly "evo" and to a smaller extent "Car"). There are some things I read in them that I have no clue what they are talking about...I think it's just cultural differences. So, I ask three things of you:
1. Define "bespoke"
2. What is "Alcantara?" Is it the same as suede?
3. Differentiate between A-roads, B-roads, etc.
This would be greatly appreciated.

1. I just looked up 'bespoke' cause I'd never heard it. It is used to describe clothes made to suit someones requirements. But it can also be used to describe other things made to suit a persons needs.
2. Never heard this word and it ain't in the dictionary...
3. 'A' roads are the main roads, 'B' roads are the smaller roads. I guess you could say the 'A' roads are the main links between places and the 'B' roads are just the smaller roads that branch off to places. Motorways are freeways.
Porsche: You can't get Foot and Mouth from eating animals, and its harmless to humans anyway. (unlike BSE :silly: )
I haven't seen any burning animals. The only way its effected me is by being on the damn TV all the time, and the places I walk my dog are closed off. (despite being nowhere near where animals are kept:confused: )

My town is about 75 square miles. I love it here. I live in a valley, and to people from neighbouring Saint John we're known as valley boys/girls. Supposedly, we're snotty, but I don't see it. Better than Saint Johners, though. They're known as stupid, dirty, impatient, and selfish. :D We're just a little sterotypical here.
KV (Kennebecasis Valley) is sort of the richer suburb of Saint John. SJ is mostly apartments and businesses, KV has some darn nice houses, plus mostly middle class people. For those who live in New England and maybe Ontario, you would know the Irvings who live here. They are multi billionares that control a large gas and oil chain (Irving), make paper (Majesta brand tissues), and various other things. Everyone around the world might be familiar with the McCains, founders and owners of McCain foods. Perhaps also the Ganongs, owners of Ganong chocolates, and inventers of the chocolate bar (Palomine).
All in all, I absolutely love it here.

Ya, I am Canadian (No pun intended, for canadians who have seen the commercial) I do make fun of Canada but I still love it, we're respected worldwide we have no enemies and we have 9 million square miles of land. It dosen't get much better. It is too cold sometimes but that's dumb because I love Canadian winters especailly this year cause Ottawa got lots and lots of Snow. But like Heep said, I don't want to be stuck up. BTW heep, are you close to Moncton or Fredericton at all? I go through there on my way to the Maritimes every few summers, maybe I'll see you sometime.
