How can AutoCAD be gay but be the industry standard for design? It is not possible to completely learn autocad in one week. Not that it is a very complex piece of design software, but you can plenty of stuff with it.

Good too see there is another Solidworks user here. I will see if I can find a model for you.

:screwy: well if getting paid £25 ($40) an hour is gay then autocad muct be gay! the fact is the only people who slag it off are the people that cant use it. its an incredibly useful programme. i use it and transport acad files into photoshop to create artistic pictures from my "gay" lines.
If you can find one mechanical thing that you have in your car that wasnt designed using cad then go ahead. but it rules the design roost.
3d cad is great, took me a while to learn to use but am now well happy. Have been an autocad user for 6 years now.
Plus people who complain most about autocad cant actualy draw or have no conception on how to properly contruct a drawing, i myself got my first rotering drawing board aged 6 (a4) then at 10 got an a3 drawing board. I learnt the correct ways of drawing and now autocad have given me a way of creating perfect drawings
so dont slag off what you cant use :evillol:

i have autocad and solidworks at home for moonlighting work on the side. 3/4s of the engineering firms here in houston use autocad unless you work for national oilwell or kvaener. i haven't played with inventor, but the people that have, told me solidworks will smoke inventor anyday of the week. ive only been designing for 7 yrs, but unless you're like my brother, with 13 yrs of experience, you won't make $40 an hour here.
o yea, did anyone come up with any drawings?

i know how to draw it. im looking for dimensional dwg's or an actual head that's drawn to scale. ive tried getting drawings from manufacturers, but they keep insisting that the dwg's are proprietary and wont release any. i dont want to spend the money and go to a junkyard and back engineer a head.
