Body Kits

Which would you go with...?

carbonfiber lip, not a kit
i hate kits

Just depends on the car some look good with some look like crap if they have a kit. there is a black widow hood I wouldn't mind getting for my 90 integra and then there is a kit that looks good on it as well don't remember what style it was though :banghead:

nah I agree....I might just for the carbon fiber Type R lip and hood for mine...just seein what you guys perfer in terms of the kits tis all...
obviously fiberglass is trash...though funny how that's all they wanna make now huh?
I'ma probably get the car painted a midnite bluish colour with black metallic chips so the hood and lip dont stand out too much
though the JDM Type R conversion with the Tracer Kit doesn't look too bad...will be heavier too...dang **you can probably find the info on visionautodynamics.com and do a search for acura integra 98+**

im not really into bodykits but i woldnt mind having a jdm integra Conversion or the S14 Conversion but i have only seen it one time and that was on ebay for $1200.00 never seen a real car with one i maybe thats why i like it no one else has it

It depends on the kit.. certain kits only come it poly. all kits come in glass. its all on what kit you like and what one you think is the best looking on your car. as far as hoods the carbon fiber is the best if you like that look.. there are people that get carbon and then paint it for some reason.. i dont have any clue why.. your paying for that look lol.. glass is the way to go if you like the solid color but light weight hood and if you like color tinted hoods than go with lexan if done right its really light and the shit is bullet broof..but as far as body kits there is no rear better the black widow.. the front differs but the rear is awsome.. and the s14 or s15 conversion is a waist of money if your not going to do the whole engine swap.. Then ask yourself why am i putting a nissan engine in my acura.. Its sad and a discrass to acura fans.. just buy a silvia.. i can get you a 92-96 silvia for about 3 grand.. same with a skyline.. i hope i get mine this summer if all goes right.. as for me I think I might stick with the stock look and try to just reduce as much weight as possible without throwin away any necessities that I may need...gota get ride of a few pounds so I can add a few and hope it evens out if not go down a lil...why have a nice ride with no music right :D good thing you can always take out a box when you need too haha...just more of a hassle

Body kits should the last project on your list. Suspension & braking are the MOST IMPORTANT thing to do & should be done first so that you can control any new found power supplied by engine mods. Then, once you are going FAST enough, a body kit is needed. Make sure that whatever kit you get actually helps your aerodynamics & weight and isn't just for show. A lot of kits out there were just drawn up and built without any tunnel or flowbench testing. In most cases stock aerodynamics are fine (Acura & Honda have one of the best test facilities for this sort of thing so their bodies aren't just thrown together willy-nilly). Take hot-rodding your car seriously. Don't fall victim to "ricing" your car. You'll have much more fun and may actually survive.

well actually as far as suspensions goes...I've got that covered for the most part and will probably be doing more same with brakes...don't worry I'm not going for that "ricey" look...if I do a kit it'd be extremely subtle...well ya know what I mean haha

Actually http://www.visracing.com has a new polyfiber. It's some pretty amazing stuff. You should go to the website and look at the stuff I'm probably going with a full blackwidow kit. They have vids of them bending and even running over it with a truck. I've seen it in person as well and it actually bends that much so it isn't something that they've thrown on the website after doctoring it up a whole bunch.

I am stock w/ a spoon custom carbon fiber hood, and thats only because it reduces weight. I like the lips but it's money that can be spent elsewhere and be more useful.

SPONSERS and winning shows. i like carbon fiber or stock. but if u want sponsers and drive with care get kits.

man, take my advice and put the money you were going to use for the kit and invest it into some other thing for your car. keep the stock look, lower it, and put rims on it........ fiberglass kits never fit right and youll spend a ton of money to get it molded and then if you get in a wreck its all gone.......get a bad ass paint job, rims, lower the car, and put money into high performance. youll love your car a hell of a lot more.

bigdavedwg - a 'bad ass paint job' will cost more than twice as much as any body kit will...

i dont like bodykits, thats why i'm selling the one above now that i got the stock bumpers

I like the stock look, some body kits look awful. but thats just waht i think... but again i like front lips

just front lip...or carbonfiber front lip....NO body kits....body kits are wasting money... :nono:

im getting rid of my widebody hatch. when u mess with that much bondo and fiberglass u start to appreciate the stock honda look.

Back from the dead thread, and a bunch are trying to whore off parts!

IMO CF lips look good otherwise urethane, although the INGS Hybrid Aero would be best.
