To the UK it takes around 7-14 days using SAL, once everything is in stock (or if you tell them to ship items that are in stock).
If it's not too late, I'd go for a Tamiya R33 over a Fujimi. Go for a Tamiya over a Fujimi where ever possible :)

My order took about 7 days to arrive in Finland. The models condition were okay. They pack models in HLJ pretty well.
But if your order is not in stock it might take while before it arrives and another thing is, they have quit a lot of holidays in Japan and those of couse delay the delivering

ok a quick question. I got a confirmation for my shipping order from HLJ. The problem though is for some reason they sent off only half the order (i didnt tell them to send what they have). Now in the order basket there is 3 pieces of abrassives, all of which were in stock when the other bits were sent off. Will I have to pay twice for shipping? considering that the shipping for the sent off items cost 2000 yen (like AU$25) and I'm not prepared to pay for shipping again.
Anyone have this before?
Might email HLJ and ask em about it too, just coming here first to see if this has happened before.

i encouter this situaion before
..
actually their packaging is good, but...
- they VERY seldom reply email questioning/ problem
- you have to wait more than 1 month for them to restock usually
- and they ship whatever item available on your list after 1 month, so your bill on shipment will be billed several times...
so from now on, i seldomly order from HLJ..
and many af members change the ordering from HLJ to me.. :grinno:
I have a usual appearance in AF classifed :iceslolan

HLJ's policy states they will only ship available items after a 2 month period, which it hasn't been. grr, well im not paying for 2nd shipping. they can go f off, lol. problem for me is that my local hobby shops are very very very expensive (like $12 for a can of paint and $50 for a rx7 r1. you get the point). HLJ is just dirtcheap :D

@DucanEK3: No it is to late, but i was building a Tamiya R33 and so i want to try the Fujimi i didn't find a other good kit which is mold in white becouse i want wo make a nice paint in white with a clear blue metalic layer !
I dont care about the shipping if i have to pay twice becouse only a normal R33 from Tamiya is in Austria 28 Euro and at HLJ its the hafe price !! So i hope in arout 1 Month i can show you the results of what i have ordered.
I more questen what is the best color for a aztek airbrush and are there airbrushcolors like metalic or flipflop , or is it better that i take normal 2K carpaint like i have done it at my last paintings ( only shit is 3 days drying ) !

HLJ's packing is usually very good, but sometimes it's real overkill. See how they packed a pair of tweezers :screwy: (They had just sent me an order and I didn't manage to cancel the order for these before they came into stock)

Looks like they don't have any other way to send their merchandise but card board boxes. I've often got sets of etched parts and books in largish boxes even though they would have finely fit into a slim lettertype package. However the postage is quite reasonable considering that the orders come so quickly and the goods have never been damaged. Some European mail order shops charge more to send goods to Finland and they arrive much slower :disappoin

i just got my order
packaging was just like the picture above, but because I ordered a r34, 5 spraycans, 2 rolls of masking tape, a modelling knife, abbrassives and putty, it all fit in nicely :D
Now if those bastards would send me the other 3 pieces of abbrasives that they missed out on, I would really appreciate it, lol. Might as well just cancel the order I spose though...

My experience is that
1) HLJ keeps saying backorder on something. Then once I wanna cancel some of the items, their system was down for 3 days (I think they did that with purpose).
Once their system was up, they are telling me something got in stock and already shipped. So I have no way to amend my order even I KEPT emailing them wanna cancel my order.
2) another experience is that when I saw all my stuff in stock, I requested to ship my order.
But then on the next day, they were telling me because some stuff were in low stock, so they only ship part of my order. WTF, you never know what they ship even though their system saying all the stuff in stock. They just never assure all of your order are in stock.
I am really pissed off with HLJ.

1 more thing:
I would suggest you cancel your order 10 days before the partial shipping deadline if many stuffs are in backorder , since hlj seldom (actually never) replies email, and their system will shutdown by purpose.
just my 2 cents, I donno want buddy here being charged unwanted shipping cost. :)

i just can't understand why their processing time is sooooo loooong on in-stock items.
i waited exactly one month for them to process my in-stock order. i can't believe they are that busy!
