Trunk Lid

I have a 1992 Buick Park Avenue. Problem: Trunk lid won't pull down, motor needs to be replaced. I can't afford one at this time. Question: Is there a way to get the trunk lid closed?

Yes, same thing happened on my 94. You have to tap into the wires going into the switch. I took it o the dealer and had my preferred mechanic do it. Doing this will make the trunk act as a normal, "Slam it" trunk. The sensor is only about $30.00, but I get a parts discount, so I'd assume about $10 or so more for you. Call your preferred mechanic, and have him do it in his spare time. mine did not put it through the dealer, and I just gave him $15 for his time, he spent a good 25-30 mins getting it so it closes properly.
