I was thinking about getting a 94-99 mustang GT

as far as i know stangs are great cars(my dad has a base model,80k no problems ever)

Do you think this would be a good first car for a high school-er

au revoir :p

Sure. I wish I had mine in HS (sure would have beat walking, lol) Reliable, abundance of parts if something does go wrong, fun to drive....lots of reasons. I dont' see why a responsible person shouldn't have one that young. If you find a nice clean one you like, go for it!

94-98s are different from the 99+

If you mean a 94-98, I had a v6 (new, 17 miles odd)for the second half of HS, and I loved it. I'd definately get a stang.

Just dont get a 97-98 model GT, all kinds of problems just after they rolled of the assembly line, not all but i'm pretty sure alot of them. 94-95 is 5.0L, 96- is 4.6L, you choose.

For Christ sake, go to www.yahoo.com or www.google.com then type into the serach line "ford mustang 94 review", then press the search button and guess what, one of the sites will have the 1994 mpg. Is it so hard to do? (BTW sorry, im a bit emotional today :disappoin )

id just get the 99 mustang. since its almost winter on most places the price usually goes down big time on them in cold weather cities. sometimes a few thousand.

They're all about the same (assuming "normal" driving techniques) 15-17 city, around 25 on the freeway.

In my 93 (5spd) w/ only MSD coil and 6AL I was getting ~27mpg on the freeway @ 85mph (3.08 gears)
